6 Real People With Mind-Blowing Mutant Superpowers If the insane, explosive popularity if superhero movies is any indication, we are fascinated by people who are insanely better than us at any given thing. Probably because, in real life, we're all such a bunch of incompetent boobs that we've been enslaved by blue paint, flashing lights and crying French babies. But it turns out, superpowers are real. We've all dreamed of having superpowers at some point (today), but the majority of us have to accept the sobering reality that preternatural abilities simply aren't possible. For instance ... #6. Ma Xiangang is a man capable of something not many others are or would have a practical reason to be -- he can touch live wires filled with scrotum-popcorning electricity and feel no pain whatsoever. As with most superpower discoveries, Xiangang found his by acting like a braying jackass. CRI English.com"I figured I'd either die or get superpowers. So What's Going on Here? #5. Culture.

7 Theories on Time That Would Make Doc Brown's Head Explode There are a few things in this world that we can always rely on as constants: The sun will always rise each morning, the seasons will always change and time will inevitably march forward at its predictable clip. Except the sun doesn't actually rise, seasons are disappearing and time ... well, see, time is tricky, too. For example ... #7. What if we told you that what you think of as "the present" is actually slightly in the past? The delay isn't much -- what's 80 milliseconds between you and your brain? Photos.com"Being a brain is kind of boring, but we've got lots of time for pranks." But that's not the freaky part. Photos.com"You really don't want to see the copies." Not convinced? The bizarre real-world implication is that the taller you are, the further back you live in the past, since it takes longer for the information to travel through your body -- and if you're a little person, you live closer to the present. But we're only talking about our perception of time here. #6. #5. #4.

Warhol & The Computer I don’t tend to associate legendary Pop artist Andy Warhol with the computer. My first thoughts go to Campbell Soup cans, Marilyn Monroe, and his film works. While most of Warhol’s creative output happened in the 1960s, when only a few serious artists had access to and used computers, he continued to paint and create artworks up until his death in 1987. Towards the end of his life, he began to create works using Amiga computers. It should be no surprise that Warhol was interested in computers; he’d been fascinated with popular culture for decades and computers had moved beyond being mysterious tools to become items encountered in everyday life. That alone would get Warhol interested in them as commodity objects, but add to that the artistic potential of such machines and it’s not at all a stretch to see his interest. How To Actually Win A Fist Fight Ok, well, with the response from yesterday's post, I felt compelled to go ahead and do this. Without further ado: You know it has to be said, first sentence, first paragraph: the best way to win a fist fight is not to get into one in the first place. No shit, sherlock. Every single mens magazine who has ever attempted to publish an article like this has started (and ended) exactly that way and is usually devoid of any real information - sometimes because someone on the editorial staff wanted to avoid putting the periodical at risk for a lawsuit; other times because the author has absolutely no clue what they’re talking about, so they cop out with this “Verbal Judo Wins The Day!” It’s common sense - avoid fighting if at all possible. So... The Basics First, you need to know a few things: You are going to get hit. When you get hit, it does not feel good. Confidence CANNOT be overvalued in a fight situation. Your Stance Your stance is the way you stand and position yourself during a fight.
