Somewhere I Have Never Traveled (Third Sound Remix) by E. Catherine Tobler In the still of the night, there is the voice. Am I awake? It is not a voice as I know voices; it doesn’t speak in words, but in vibrations, audio frequencies penetrating the space which enfolds it (the siren, the woman trapped). It is the sound of a remembered heartbeat, muffled and moving through fluid, muscle, bone. Ashton - Winding Road - Tobacco Reviews This Aston Blend does not get a lot of respect nor high ratings but for the life of me i don't know why, other than the fact that most likely previous reviewers smoked it right out of the tin and not drying it out some. It does come too moist in the tin, but with a little dry time, it becomes a very tasty smoke, mostly a citrusy VA flavor with the caramel just making an appearance andthe apricots just adding to a very nice room aroma. I find it to be quite enjoyable to smoke, it burns very well and dry, and smokes down to a fine grey ash with no gunk or moisute at the bottom of my pipe. It is an all brown tobacco cut in a rought ribbon cut and was very easy to load and pack in the pipe.

The History of the UK Garage Words by: Lexis & Dr.Love It’s really pretty incredible that after almost 20 years, the influence of the UK Garage genre is still very present. From its early incarnations around 1994, British Garage has had a huge impact over urban music in the UK with artists like Dizzee Rascal, Burial, Wiley, The Streets, Ms Dynamite. It has achieved both underground and commercial success.

"Blind Spot" by Tanaz Bhathena — Origins The woman who split my parents into separate rooms two months ago lived in a small apartment building with latticed grills on the windows. If not for the number 34 painted in black on the outer wall, which by some strange coincidence also happened to be my exact age at this point in time, the building would have blurred past my gaze like any other two-level block in the row of identical cream-coloured structures behind Palestine Street. The clock on my Lincoln’s dashboard read 11.43 p.m. It was much too early for anyone to be home on the fifteenth night of Ramadan, when iftaar parties were on at full swing, unless they themselves were hosting one. This was evident from the building’s parking lot, which was empty except for a pair of dark green hatchbacks parked in one corner.

Charlie's Diary So: the referendum is over and the count is underway. I'm about to go to bed; when I wake up there should be a result. The final YouGov opinion poll today (not an exit poll) gave No a 54/46 lead, but earlier polls suggest the outcome is within the margin of error; I'd be very surprised if that final poll reflects the final count. s 40 Best New Bands Of 2010 With fall on the horizon, we’re escaping a slow summer and shifting into that final, fertile phase of the music year’s release cycle. Which makes it a ripe time to get some perspective on the year, in terms of the big records from past favorites, and here, the bands that have introduced themselves as new ones. Recently, NME conducted its own exercise in surveying the “new” crop of bands, turning in a list that rankled some of you, because you felt some bands were “old,” or because some bands were not to your liking, or because it was a list. The subjectivity of what makes a band the best at anything is of course primary grounds for debate; what makes a band the best at being “new” gives the argument more dimension. We found ourselves arguing and emailing about our own picks, and rules, and said fuck it: let’s publish this. So, qualitative concerns are one thing … but what qualifies one as a “2010 act”?
