Blog Archive » Stamping 411 – Folded Christmas tree Nov 05 2010 Time again for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge! When I saw the sketch, I started thinking about things that could go outside the rectangle panel to frame it. And here is my card: EDIT: The circle is 5 1/4, then cut in half. This is a Word Doc…converting it to PDF caused it to lose the shape. Tree Diagram.doc Several have asked for a PDF, so here it is, however, the size may not be the same. Tree Diagram.pdf Not a lot of stamping on it…mostly bling! I stamped the greeting from Christmas Greetings in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla cardstock and layered it on Cherry Cobbler. I was pretty happy with it, but I'm anxious to see what the other Stamping 411 Operator Design Team did this week!

3D paper diamonds Hello there. Hope you all had a great Easter! We had a lovely relaxing holiday (….well as relaxing as it gets with kids). It would have been great to have another week off ^_^ Before I forget I just want to say a big thank you for all the kind messages you have send me regarding my book (you really are a nice bunch!) I’ve been meaning to get this paper diamond up for weeks now…but it’s taken ages to figure the template out (and I’ve been having breaks between each failed attempt). It’s based on simplified version of Satoshi Kamiya’s origami diamond. These paper diamonds are tricky to make (& require a fair bit of patience) so definitely adults only! When you have made your diamonds you can attach thread and hang them up. How-to 1. 2. 3. 4. Happy Monday all! Edited to add: A few people have had problems printing the templates (the dotted lines do not print).

Photo-printed Hair Ribbon | Upcraft.it Robin over at inkodye.com just sent over this fantastic tutorial to showcase their fantastic photo-sensitive permanent dye. LilyBean's Paperie: May 2009 Sweet, fleeting, innocent childhood.....Little Lilybean....one day when you read mommy's entries, I hope you are smiling and can feel my arms wrapped around you. I have watched you grow right before my eyes...leaps and bounds in a matter of moments it seems. Today you graduated from Kindergarten...I tried my hardest to not let the tears come....but it was such a bittersweet event for me. I adore every little inch of you....when you're sassy, when you're sweet, when you try my patience, when you love me and accept my imperfections....all of it...I'll take it because it is what encompasses you and makes you my original little 5-year old. To my friends, thank you for your sweet words of encouragement...for your own tales of motherhood, sisterhood, friendship....you are each so special and I have so enjoyed getting to know you all. Lots of Melissa Frances on this first card...paper, rubons, gems, sticker, and clear stamp. Last one for today... Hope you're all having a wonderful week. Melis

Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes It was time to make something special for Winnie’s birthday. Besides that, I kind of owe her. She was one of my first friends in college, possibly the second person I met. We were sitting next to each other in an economics class (theater style seating) when I just fell asleep on her. As an added touch, I wanted to make the coffee flavored cake stronger on the bottom, lighter on top, an effect that happens in espresso drinks as the frothy milk is mixed in.
