She was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of WOMMA. What makes a brand stand out from its competition? For some, it’s their cutting-edge design, for others it’s their customer service. Stories, unlike any other element, allow brands to connect with customers on an emotional level. 1. TOMS shoes, which are sold at more than 500 stores around the world, was founded on the ethos that for every pair purchased, one pair is donated to a child in need. The company has developed an extension of this story online, with their One for One campaign. 2. Mr. Sadly, there has never been a real Mr. 3. Chrysler took Detroit’s gritty and tough image and used it in their "Imported From Detroit" campaign. 4. Nike’s own story is one of success.
7 Tools For Updating Facebook Timeline Pages Timeline has a way of making pages with infrequent posts look more naked than they really are, making it more important than ever to post regularly. Here are seven ways to get this job done. We’re about to discuss six different third-party tools for publishing to pages, but before we get into any of that, let’s talk about doing it directly on Facebook, inputting text and links in the status field. The algorithm that determines post placement in Facebook’s news feed tends to lower the priority updates from third-party apps. If there are good reasons not to use third-party tools, then why would you want to use them at all? With that in mind, here are six of the top tools that social media experts, brands, and agencies are using to update their pages. Argyle Social allows you to schedule and publish updates across top social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You can also have your latest blog post automatically delivered to those social networks using your RSS feed.

4 Tools to Enhance Brand Engagement on Facebook Over the past few years, Facebook marketing has moved from the domain of early adopters to a mainstream focus for nearly all businesses. During that time, a large number of social media marketing tools have emerged to help companies reach and engage with fans, run promotions and contests, and even integrate Facebook Ad programs with the rest of their social marketing. But while most marketers are currently using the myriad applications that allow them to run their ongoing programs, they may not be as familiar with tools they can use to enhance their day-to-day activities and make their programs more effective. Here are four services that offer specific functionality to boost the impact of your Facebook marketing every day. 1. Several billion pieces of content and “Stories” are shared on Facebook every day, so it would be completely overwhelming if the news feed showed all of the possible stories from your friends and the brands you like. 2. 3. 4.
Facebook a donc réagit.
Incredibly Captivating and Expressive Portraits At first, I thought these images by 22-year-old photographer Robby Cavanaugh were completely fabricated interpretations of life. From the flying fish to the woman standing on top of water, his work portrays intense technical strength as a digital artist. At the same time, though, it turns out that he is also quite the creative energetic, who isn’t afraid to haul a giant door to the beach or to set an umbrella on fire. Amazing! It's clear that he uses a bit of post-production to enhance his photography, but his main goal is to capture everything in a single frame. His creative expression is emotionally powerful and tells the story of an ambitious young photographer. Robby Cavanaugh’s websiteRobby Cavanaugh on DeviantArt
10 Ways to Humanize Your Brand on Social Media Joe Chernov is the VP of Content Marketing for Eloqua. He is responsible for creating, distributing and measuring content that increases awareness and drives demand. Marketers are suckers for a catch phrase, from “join the conversation” to “think like a publisher.” Now, thanks largely to Facebook Timeline for brand pages, the new marketing slogan has quickly become, “humanize the brand.” Humanizing a brand simply means trying to interact with each customer on a personal level. But for a company to implement that style, there needs to be a shift in how it responds to customers, particularly via social media. 1. I recently asked Alfredo Tan, Senior Director of Facebook Canada, if the company distinguishes between business and consumer brand pages. 2. In Smart Business, Social Business, author Michael Brito writes, "while many organizations are trying desperately to humanize their brand, they are failing to understand that they need to humanize their business first." 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
