Access to Mideast and Islamic Resources (AMIR) Copac National, Academic, and Specialist Library Catalogue SLPC Translation Studies Bibliography Translation Studies (sometimes also called: Translation and Interpreting Studies) comprises the discipline dealing with transfer and mediation, containing aspects of intra- and interlingual translation, intercultural communication, adaptation, interpreting, localization, multimedia translation, language mediation, terminology and documentation. In recent years, Translation Studies has demonstrated that it has established itself as a mature academic discipline. We welcome you to explore the broad range of publications in this field, using the innovative and advanced Translation Studies Bibliography. The database is continuously updated and now contains approx. 40,000 annotated records. The bibliography is enhanced by a thesaurus and provides CrossRef DOIs, where available, for easier interlinking. The ZDB-network is managed by the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin; the database is held on a server of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek. The ZDB: what it containsThe ZDB actually contains more than 1.7 million bibliographic records of serials from the 16th century onwards, from all countries, in all languages, held in 4.400 German and Austrian libraries, with 13.6 million holdings information. It does not contain contents, i. e. journal articles. The responsibility for the maintenance and further development of the ZDB lies with the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz and the German National Library.
