Winter Romance. Despite the glimmer of Spring we’ve seen over the last few weeks, it would seem that Winter isn’t quite ready to disappear just yet… We’ve got a gorgeous inspiration shoot this afternoon that will actually make you sad that Winter is on it’s way out. Seriously – I’m a sun worshipper through and through, but the thought of a crackling log fire always makes me hanker after the colder half of the year. I’m particularly loving the strong make up looks created by Jodie Hazlewood and now have a very strong urge to reach for the glitter, put on my best frock and sit in a large window looking out over my grounds… Obviously with a sparkly headpiece from Debbie Carlisle in my hair.

The moment we set our eyes on the positively exquisite gowns from Carol Hannah’s brand-new bridal collection, we just knew we had to share them with you! Featured in the May/June issue of Smitten Magazine after her launch at April’s New York Bridal Market, the Project Runway alum describes her collection to Smitten’s Claire Keys as being inspired by a “luxe, chic garden party”, an apt description for the frothy, dreamy creations. No matter what marketers are trying to sell us, there must be something about their product or service that draws our attention. With food and drink products that are fighting for our attention on supermarket shelves, packaging design is of paramount importance. The designer needs to create packaging that will allow the manufacturers to keep the product within the price range of its competitors, and at the same time pique the interest of consumers enough to want to discover the delights inside. It’s a very tall order for designers, but as always in our modern world, they stand up to the challenge bravely and bring us amazing eye candy in the form of food and drink packaging.
