Easy DIY Wedding Programs Tutorial
Posted on April 27, 2009 by Christina By Amanda Colyer For our DIY Wedding programs, I wanted to keep it simple and inexpensive, but still provide my guests with some entertainment. Materials for DIY Wedding Programs: - A2 sized folded cards (or card stock cut to size and folded) - Golf pencils , pre-drilled with holes wide enough for ribbon to pass through - Popsicle sticks , also pre-drilled - Scissors - Needle with a large eye - Corner Rounder Punch - Thin ribbon - Double Sided Tape Note: A2 is a great size because there’s room for content, but they’re not so big that they’re floppy. Designing my programs was a snap with Microsoft Word. I had tons of ideas for games that I ran out of time to use. Once you’ve designed your programs (making sure to fit the card dimensions), print the front and back onto the outside of the cards. and had no problems. To start assembling, open up a card and put double stick tape on three sides. Close the card, pressing to seal the edges. Our guests loved them!

Giant Paper Rose Flower
If you loved the beautiful DIY wedding this morning and Nata’s gorgeous paper flower bouquets, you are in luck as Nata is sharing how she crafted them with us! She was inspired by a template created by Morgan Levine on Martha Stewart (as was I in the flowers I created for this styled shoot). I just love that this basic idea has inspired different brides to create their own version of giant paper flowers – you might remember these equally awesome giant paper flowers from this wedding I shared last year. :) Thanks so much Nata for sharing how you created your giant pink paper rose + special thanks to Studio Castillero for the photos of the DIY + her wedding! Materials (to make one giant rose) Step 1: Cut the petals Cut 5-6 teardrop petals and 15-6 heart-shaped petals from the petal colored crepe paper. IMPORTANT: Crepe paper is directional so it matters which way you’re cutting the paper. Repeat until all of your petals are cut Step 2: Cut the leaves + calyx Step 3: Make the rose stem
Bridesmaids Gift Ideas | Inspirations & Creations - Elizabeth Anne Designs: The Wedding Blog - StumbleUpon
I may be a bit biased, but I think my bridesmaids scored some sweet SWAG for being a part of our big day :) One thing I knew I wanted to do for sure was to make them something… because everyone just loves handmade goodies right?!? I saw this awesome diy doily bag on Design*Sponge. {image via Design*Sponge} After reading through the full tutorial on Ashley Ann Photography’s blog I got to work on making one for each of my bridesmaids! It took me a few trial/error bags but I eventually got the hang of it (the more spray adhesive the better!) For the initials I just printed off a letter in the size/font I wanted…carefully cut it out and then used the stencil that was left over to paint on each initial. The next thing I got for each of the girls was a pair of gray J Crew flip-flops (to match their J Crew BM dresses of course) to wear at the reception. {above 3 photos via author’s personal collection} Then I figured I should probably get them something pretty to wear and remember the day by.
Kraft Paper Chevron Stripe Custom Wedding Save the Dates
As much as I love bright pops of color, show me something with the right combination of neutrals and clean design and I’m instantly in love. This is absolutely the case with the save the dates that Laura from Lande & Maze created for her own wedding later this summer. Laura combined screen printed chevron stripes with kraft paper with individually hand typed text for a unique, personal, and beautifully understated save the date. From Laura: Since I design printed materials for weddings all the time, it was a challenge to actually design something for myself. My fiancé Thomas and I are planning a vintage modern wedding, with neutral colors and textures. I decided to use alternative printing methods to help stay within my budget and set the tone. Just gorgeous Laura! Photo Credits: Engagement photos by MNC Photography, product images by Becker Photography
