[DIY] The DIY $30 Rolling Camera Bag I have been on the look out for an affordable rolling camera bag for some time. Thinktank, Lowepro, and Pelican all have great products, but when it comes down to it I really don’t want to drop $300+ on a bag. What is so special about these “specialized” camera bags anyway? After looking at my normal carry-on bag, I was determined to find a cheap alternative. I quickly grabbed a tape measure and did some checking on my current bag. The next day I skipped out early on the day job and dropped by Calumet photo to buy the insert. After I got it home, the situation only got better. I have to say this is one of the best camera mods / DIY projects I have found. Disadvantages: -I don’t look as cool without a name brand on my bag -If I do need to travel, I am short a carry on -Not as protective as a Pelican case, but a hell of a lot lighter What do you think of my new DIY, affordable case? Hydra Modern Piano by Apostol Tnokovski Lady Gaga, This One Is Because Of You If you have a bone to pick with regards to the designing of the Hydra Piano, you better fight Lady Gaga then. Apostol Tnokovski was enjoying one of her performances on the telly, when he realized that the old, boxy piano was a misfit on her stage! Aghast, he took to the drawing board and came up with this unique, some-what flowing concept that looks stunning in pure glossy white or black. To make matters complicated, the inspiration also comes from the mythological sea monster “Hydra”. Wonder who would perform better on stage shows…monster Hydra Lady Gaga or the piano!

Pakistan’s Relations with India: Beyond Kashmir? Asia Report N°224 3 May 2012 In March 2011, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)-led government resumed the composite dialogue with India, with the rapid pace of its economic liberalisation program demonstrating political will to normalise bilateral relations. The November 2011 decision to grant Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India by the end of 2012 is not merely an economic concession but also a significant political gesture. Within Pakistan, the normalisation process enjoys broad political support, including from the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz, PML-N), the largest opposition party. Liberalised trade, stronger commercial links and deeper bilateral economic investment would strengthen moderate forces in Pakistan’s government, political parties, business community and civil society. Within India, with suspicions of Pakistani intentions still high, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has limited political support for talks that do not prioritise the terrorist threat. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
