ImPulsTanz DRAWING NOW PARIS l LE SALON DU DESSIN CONTEMPORAIN Rencontres chorégraphiques Les origines du festival remontent en 1969. Jaque Chaurand, un ancien danseur, crée un concours chorégraphique pour "la nouvelle danse", alors appelé "Les Ballets pour Demain" qui se déroulait à Bagnolet. C'est la naissance du "Concours de Bagnolet". Dominique Bagouet, Jean-Claude Gallotta, Karine Saporta, Maguy Marin, Dominique Boivin, Régine Chopinot, François Verret, puis Catherine Diverrès, Bernardo Montet, Mark Tompkins, Mathilde Monnier, Angelin Preljocaj, Odile Duboc,... se font remarquer pendant ces années, entre 1976 et 1985. En 1988, le concours prend une nouvelle envergure, internationale, sous l'impulsion de Lorrina Niclas qui dirige alors ce qu’on appellera le CIBOC, c’est-à-dire le Centre International de Bagnolet pour les Œuvres Chorégraphiques. A partir de 2002, Anita Mathieu prend la direction des Rencontres et transforme le concours en festival. External Links
