A Beautiful Mess I love using cloth napkins to dress up our dinner table, and through the years I've grown even more fond of their sustainability and cost effectiveness. Though, I'm not sure how cost effective it is if you keep buying more and more cloth napkins each year! This holiday season I thought it would be fun to look at how I could dress up the napkins I already own to give them an extra festive vibe. Ribbon Trimmed Napkin This look is so (no sew) simple! Supplies:-ribbon-heat bond in width of ribbon-cloth napkin (buy mine here)-iron-fabric scissors (not shown above) Step One: Trim pieces of your ribbon to be about 1.5 inches longer than the width of your napkins. Step Two: Fold down the edges of each ribbon segment about 1/4" and iron flat. Step Three: Iron the heat bond to the ribbon (pressing with hot iron for two seconds), then peel off the paper backing. Step Four: Iron the ribbon in place on your napkin front with the heat bond facing down. Pom-Pom Trimmed Napkin That's all there is to it!

Oreo Cookies-Recipe Oreo-Oreo Recipes-Cheese Cupcakes-Oreo Cheesecakes Posted by Grace Massa Langlois on Wednesday, 21st July 2010 I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t like Oreo cookies or Cream Cheesecake Cupcakes. Who could resist cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies? Not Me! I went out yesterday to do my weekly shop, came home, and before I was able to bring in the first grocery bag Matt was hunting for the cookies and cream ice cream. One of Matt’s favourite desserts of all time is cherry cheesecake and I thought to myself why not Oreo Cookies and Cream Cheesecakes, that should satisfy his craving. Plus these cheesecakes are super easy to prepare, everything comes together in one bowl and there’s no crushing chocolate wafers with a rolling pin, then melting butter, baking the crust first and then baking a second time when filled. Drop an Oreo cookie into each muffin tin, make filling, add chopped cookies, bake, and enjoy, how easy is that? I can’t wait to try my hand at homemade Oreo cookies. moodboard I started this blog almost 7 years ago when I was newly engaged and living in a small town. Missing the creative energy that had surrounded me in Los Angeles, I took to the internet. One day I stumbled across Flickr, and more importantly, its online community. After posting my own personal and collected images people started asking me if I had a blog. The writing was something I was missing from Flickr. I started my blog as a way to join this community, which lacked the polished fantasy of magazines, but had the realism of chatting with your stylish sister, just one that lived far away. When the blogging world exploded the intimacy of that community went away. For me the online world got boring and weird fast, and I didn't want to be part of the way things were at the moment. Instead of writing I started an Instagram account to post more immediate things and a Pinterest account which is the easiest way to remember where I found an image.
