Click HEREProbably my favorite 'la vie' project... ever. I was browsing through a swimwear catalog and saw an adorable beach cover up. I sooo wanted it, but obviously I wasn't spending $45 on it, plus, it was totally make-able. I made some revisions and here it is! Maybe it seems a little too early to be thinking about the beach... but seriously, I can't wait. So- without further ado- the 20 Minute Beach Cover Up! (1) Cut it. (2) Braid it. (3) Attach it. Another option: if it's bunching too much in back, you can add in a tapered curve. (5) Wear it. It was so simple!

little glass box: I couldn't resist a Mother's Day DIY This Mother's day I wanted to take a modern day approach to an old school tradition. I have noticed this tradition has sort of died amongst my generation and I felt like I needed to resurrect the idea with a modern twist. Which is so funkytastic! V and Co how to: shag pillow *no animals or plants were hurt in the making of this project. *one really stupid person did get hurt in the making of this project, but she would like to mention that even though the needle penetrated...no swear words passed her lips. it's was a modern day miracle. i love how this pillow turned out. i made it in green for two reasons: 1. it's still kind of cold here, and still kind of brown...will be for a little bit longer so i wanted some GREEN and springy looking happiness in my home. 2. it's the only color of jersey i had on hand, and living in the middle of nowhere doesn't let me just jump in the car and go to a store that i can find jersey fabric at (which btw this fabric was found at jo-anns but i would suggest amazon if you can't find what you are looking for, that's where i get a lot of mine when i can't find stuff) now lets get started: cutting: *cut from jersey fabric 19 strips at 1 1/2" each.

Decorate Yourself - Fabric Cuffs Part of the fun of fabric shopping is wandering through the "notions" section. That's the section with buttons, thread, zippers, and trims...it's the accessory section for fabric. The notions section is about as dangerous for me to walk through as a shoe or jewelry section in a department store. I have this thing for accessories. So, why not combine the two?
