Raspberry and Serrano Sangría
© Jaymi HeimbuchPhotos by Jaymi Heimbuch It's no secret. I ♥ the combination of berries and chili peppers, much like the salsa I made earlier this week using just that. And after receiving some jalapeño-raspberry jam from Ann's Raspberry Farm, I was inspired to make an encore. 1 small carton of raspberries1 small carton of strawberries1 lime2 apples, granny smith and a braeburn1 serrano pepper (more if you are daring)1 bottle of Viognier1/2 cup of white grape juice1/4 cup of sugar1 can of club sodaMint leaves for garnish 1. © Jaymi Heimbuch © Jaymi Heimbuch 2. 3. 4. 5. © Jaymi Heimbuch 6. 7. All About Beer If you are easily offended, maybe you had better go BACK!!! Stage 1 - SMART This is when you suddenly become an expert on every subject in the known Universe. You know you know everything and want to pass on your knowledge to anyone who will listen. Stage 2 - GOOD LOOKING This is when you realize that you are the BEST LOOKING person in the entire bar and that people fancy you. Stage 3 - RICH This is when you suddenly become the richest person in the world. Stage 4 - BULLET PROOF You are now ready to pick fights with anyone and everyone especially those with whom you have been betting or arguing. Stage 5 - INVISIBLE This is the Final Stage of Drunkenness. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo, and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This is a call to arms. Life is a waste of time, time is a waste of life, so get wasted all of the time and have the time of your life. Why is American beer served cold?

And Gingerbread- Cinnamon Roll Pancakes too. Enjoy! Here’s a short video sharing how to make these delicious pancakes: If you’ve ever thought you needed a reason to eat pancakes, today is the day: National Pancake Day! How do you like your pancakes? But recently I started dreaming about mixing cinnamon rolls and pancakes together… and this is what I came up with- my new favorite pancake: Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. I have a wonderfully fluffy pancake batter that I like to use (recipe below) so I swirled a bit of cinnamon roll filling into the pancake. And they cooked up just like a pancake- fluffy, but with craters of crusty, sugary cinnamon swirled within. You might find three of these stacked in a fancy breakfast restaurant, but I’m gonna tell you that one pancake is all you need. Oh yeah. Ingredients:

Coca-Cola Cupcakes I don’t drink coca-cola. But I do eat it. Weird. It’s way better eaten. There’s some dark and white sugar cooked with dark dutch processed cocoa powder…and a can of coke! There’s some the ol’ that pouring into this and this pouring into that. There’s some mixing. Take a little PAM and spray the liners–this is a sticky cupcake batter. UPDATED TIP ALERT: A few of you tried this recipe and sprayed them and the cupcake still stuck. These cupcakes are chocolately, decadent, rich and kind of amaze. This frosting isn’t frosting–it’s just whipped cream. And guess what? Next, cherries on top! P.S. Coca-Cola Cupcakes Recipe adapted from Baked: The New Frontier Yields 15 cupcakes Print this recipe! Cupcakes: 2 cups Coca-cola (do not use diet!) Whipped Cream Frosting: 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract Maraschino cherries (for topping) Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Recipe for Hot Cider with Orange and Spice Posted November 13th, 2011 by CheekyKitchen When the chill of winter starts to set itself over the city, there’s nothing like a hot drink to warm the bones. This fun, citrusy take on cider is a welcome change from the usual apple cider drinks. Hot Orange-Spiced Cider is simple to make, full of flavor, and wildly gorgeous. Watch how easy this recipe is to whip up! Throw in some orange slices. Then add whole cinnamon sticks. And whole cloves. A vanilla bean might seem like a strange addition, but it adds such lovely, mellow flavor. And ye olde secret ingredient … just a smidgen of almond extract before you slow-simmer your drink to let all those flavors melt together. You want it.
