Akademi Fantasia Travel The School of Our Dreams Might Actually Exist - Education Earlier this spring respected creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson shared his vision for his dream school—a whole-child learning experience that deemphasized testing and focused on exploring ideas and integrating art and science. Robinson's not the only one advocating for such a learning environment. D.C.-based education expert and writer Sam Chaltain has also been actively searching for what he calls a "transformational" school—a place that creates and sustains student-centered learning communities and prepares students with the intellectual, social, and emotional tools they need to actively participate in our democracy. But does such a dream school exist? At a time when many school districts seem to be on the path to more testing and increasingly rigid math- and reading-based curricula, Chaltain writes on the Start Empathy blog that he may have found such a campus—Mission Hill School, a public elementary school in Boston’s low-income Mission Hill neighborhood.

I'll get to that, but let's go right to No. 1 on my list of the six things airlines don't especially want you to know about fees: #1. Airline fees are worse than tattoos - they're permanent. Those drunken Facebook photos you wish you'd never posted? They may haunt you on the internet forever. Right now, only two airlines in this country give you a free bag: JetBlue and Southwest. For more travel news and insights view Rick's blog at farecompare.com #2. One month you're saying, "Good-bye, Kalispell; Hello, Vegas!" #3. Let's play detective. Sometimes even the airlines don't seem to know all their fees. #4. Am I saying Spirit is the worst airline to fly? This airline's definition of "optional" is pretty elastic. Yes, one hundred bucks - if you're foolish enough to pay at the very last minute at the airport gate. That said, if you're looking for the lowest possible airfare, Spirit may have it.
