Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake

Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake
So I'm pretty much going crazy about this amazing weather. I mean, 80s and sunny in mid-March? YES PLEASE, OBVIOUSLY. But. There is one bad thing about this fabulous weather. One horrible... horrible, putrid thing that mars this groundhog-defying warmth. You see, my little brother Boots loves boots. So every night we all gather in the living room for our current Star Wars marathon. And Boots wiggles his toes in front of my face as if to say, "just these five little piggies". And then my nose falls off and I die. So we coax him into washing his feet by telling him horrible tales germs that like to live on stinky toes. After such an episode today I found him sitting on the bathroom counter with his feet in the sink, pouring Listerine over them. Okay... that works I guess. Anyways, enough about grossness. This is a five minute chocolate mug cake that is laced with peanut butter. Top that with hot fudge. That's the batter in case you were wondering. And please.

Microwave Brownie in a Cup I’m really excited to share this recipe for a microwave brownie in a cup! It’s based off my popular recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Cup, and I have been working hard to develop this delicious, decadent, single serving treat. I’ve used simple ingredients to create a real homemade brownie in the microwave. Just like my other cookie in a cup recipes, you can mix and microwave this right in a coffee mug. Doughnuts! « KitchenMason I remember an episode of The Great British Bake off where the contestants had to make doughnuts for the technical challenge. The one thing that stuck in my mind was Paul Hollywood saying, “The main thing I’m looking for is a white ring around the middle. It’s the sign of a good doughnut.” I was aiming for that elusive white ring… and guess what? I got my white ring!!

Nutella Mug Cake There are several food bloggers that I follow religiously. In fact I have a hard time concentrating at work until I read their posts each morning (ssshh!). And a lot of them just crack me up. 5-minute Dark Chocolate Red Wine Mug Cake « Sumptuous Spoonfuls Post #4 of 5 in my Five Favorite Things for my Five Thousand Foodie Friends series … #1 was salad. #2 was dip. #3 was bread. and #4 is … duh! CHOCOLATE! of course! 5 Minute Chocolate Fudge S'mores Mug Cake. Oh hi! Just sharing a s’mores mug cake today. That can be made in 5 minutes. You know… NO BIG DEAL. Since you’re asking, yes… I have always thought the whole “cake in a mug in a microwave” thing was sort of skeevy. Well, until I was feeling superbly lazy last week and housing a mad chocolate craving. Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Cup Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, and my kids’ favorite too. So, after seeing a few recipes for individual cakes and brownies made in the microwave, I was inspired to develop a recipe to make our favorite treat in just a few minutes. My kiddos are going crazy over this chocolate chip cookie in a cup, and the best part is how easy and quick it is to make.

Around le globe: Ottolenghi's chocolate fudge cake So my eldest sister has been requesting me for the past few months to make this: Ottolenghi's chocolate fudge cake. He has a bakery in the London which I would love to go to. I mean look at the picture... Let me warn you that this is a chocolate cake not for the faint-hearted. This is a true chocoholic's dream (and I have a chocoholic family). There's a lot of chocolate and butter involved. Death By Oreo Cupcakes They are probably the best Oreo cakes I have ever tried. A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise. That's right, you put a whole Oreo at the bottom of the cake.
