This “glitch” usually frustrates numerous users for a number of reasons, as colour coded drawings help to quickly understand the design and to easily “select by colour” any given layer/s of the relevant drawing in the 3Ds Max scene. After countless requests to post an article/tutorial on how to correct this problem, I have finally managed to put something together with help of a prolific script writer/ senior Visualiser/Photographer called David Venables.David created a simple script to override the above mentioned problem! I have had the pleasure to meet and continue to work with David while at AVR London. Without further ado let us start by importing an AutoCAD file format (i.e. DWG) into 3Ds Max. With the DWG file imported into Max, the next step is to quickly create a simple script and apply it. Fn ColourFromLayer = Local SelectionArr = (selection as array) Ta
Free Stock Images & Videos ~ AllTheFreeStock.com Mike Campau Retouching, Image Design and CGI I present to you my two entries into the 2011 UU theory competition. This years competition was a little different as there were some rules and guidelines to follow that somewhat restricted what you could submit. First, the image had to relate to the city in which you live... in my case it is Detroit, the "MotorCity". Home of the once Big Three and a long history of automobile manufacturing. Detroit also had the first mile of road paved with concrete in the world, combine that with our music heritage and diverse community you have my two entries for the UU. Second, the 3 finalists' artwork will be put on t-shirts for sale in the UU shop, so the design would have to work on white unless you wanted your final design to be boxed on the t-shirt... which I didn't. Third and finally, the UU logo had to be used in some way.

FreeMediaGoo.com Portfolio Kevin Goulet THE TRUTH BOUT GRAPHIC CARDS AND 3DS MAX! - Graphics Cards hmmm a lot to answer to have i.... first of all quality isn´t your main issue when u work on a scene with 200 000 polygons or more, like i do almost every day, i promise u that. i prefer quality to go into the renderings. just kinda happy rotating the view after 10-15 seconds work (high-end huh?). yeah sure u try to work with low poly substitutions etc but it´s inevitable u gonna have to play with the complete scene from time to time. this here is the single issue 3d artists freak out on. see, textures and lights etc any geforce handles really well. thank god for the geforce. any model. the reason i´m refering to geometry2.max is that it´ll bring your pc down to it´s knees, and ALMOST represent some geometry 3d artists like myself have to cope with every day. it´s one of my favorites. forget synthetic benchmarks and teoretical opinions without real world experience. just run this here benchmark and see where your system will get u. take my advice or don´t. believe me or not.
