7 Day Detox Plan

7 Day Detox Plan
By Dietitian, Juliette Kellow BSc RD Rather than following an extreme detox plan that limits just about every food except fruit and veg while at the same time getting you to down a nasty ‘detox’ drink every day, this plan is safer and more sensible and shouldn’t leave you short on nutrients if you follow it for just one week. Foods to include in the plan Your plan can include: Fruit – your plan can include any fruit including fresh, frozen, dried or canned in natural fruit juice. Foods to avoid during your detox Detox Plan Breakfasts Banana porridge Porridge made with water and topped with natural yoghurt, banana, raisins and sweetened with honey. Detox Plan Lunches Vegetable soup and oatcakes Large bowl of vegetable or lentil soup (either homemade or supermarket ‘fresh’) with oatcakes. Detox Plan Dinners Chinese vegetable stir fry Stir fry a selection of vegetables such as bok choi, spring onions, mushrooms, bamboo shoots and beansprouts in a little olive oil with garlic and ginger.

Death By Oreo Cupcakes They are probably the best Oreo cakes I have ever tried. A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise. That's right, you put a whole Oreo at the bottom of the cake. Ingredients 1 package Oreo Cookies, regular size 1 package Mini Oreo Cookies, for decoration (optional) 1 package chocolate cake mix (mix according to directions on box) 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), room temperature 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract cupcake liners Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and cream cheese. foodsnots.com

Toasted Marshmallow & Coconut Latte Recipe Recently, I was at an event where Second Cup revealed their latest Fall and Holiday drink menu. I tasted all of it, along with bite sized dessert pairings. ...

Kitchen Confidante » Simple Sundays Each weekday morning, I carve out time for myself. I love rising before the children, sipping my coffee while the house is still quiet. As the children dream in their beds, this is my most productive time. Emails are sent, posts are written, photographs edited. I fuel my body for the morning work out and the busy day that will follow. But as much as I focus on me, me, me, I have to make time for my son when he drowsily pads into the office, his hair standing on end and hands rubbing his eyes. And I nod. I love these sweet moments and need to hold on to them. * I hope you’re having a good Sunday! A Beautiful Mess I love using cloth napkins to dress up our dinner table, and through the years I've grown even more fond of their sustainability and cost effectiveness. Though, I'm not sure how cost effective it is if you keep buying more and more cloth napkins each year! This holiday season I thought it would be fun to look at how I could dress up the napkins I already own to give them an extra festive vibe. Check out three simple ways you can give new life to your table linens. And hey! Ribbon Trimmed Napkin This look is so (no sew) simple! Supplies:-ribbon-heat bond in width of ribbon-cloth napkin (buy mine here)-iron-fabric scissors (not shown above) Step One: Trim pieces of your ribbon to be about 1.5 inches longer than the width of your napkins. Step Two: Fold down the edges of each ribbon segment about 1/4" and iron flat. Step Three: Iron the heat bond to the ribbon (pressing with hot iron for two seconds), then peel off the paper backing. Pom-Pom Trimmed Napkin That's all there is to it!
