51 Amazing Uses for Baking Soda By Melissa Breyer - care2.com I don’t mean to sound seditious here, but I have a rebellious plan to combat the ills that many corporations are perpetrating in the name of fighting grime and germs. My main gripe is about the environmental pollutants from cleaning and personal care products that we wash down our drains and into our water systems, resulting in situations like the chemical triclosan (a pesticide added to many products as an antibacterial agent) being found in dolphins. So the simple plan is to encourage everyone to use baking soda in any of these 51 applications. Besides showing kindness to aquatic life, we can also protect ourselves from the array of toxins in household cleaning products. Baking soda also makes a perfect stand-in for many personal care products, which are adding their own twist to the toxic tangle of pollutants and personal health (mainly in the form of synthetic fragrance (and it’s almost all synthetic), sodium laurel sulfate, and parabens). Récup-chemise TUTO! 8 Tips For Creating Living Spaces You'll Love For a Long Time If you're anything like us, you may be spending a lot of time, energy or money (potentially all three) on creating a home that you love the look of. But how long will you love the things you're doing? Will you get tired of your home in a few years (or even months)? There are steps you can take to enter into a long-term love affair with where you live. Loving a home for a long time doesn't actually mean getting it to a certain look and then never changing it. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. What philosophies do you adhere to when it comes to creating a home you love for a long time? un pompon avec un t shirt Learn how to turn old t-shirts into pom poms! How to clean your house with only 1 product When it comes to household products, whether it's toothpaste or window cleaner, I'll readily admit to being a pragmatist. The product has to work, first and foremost. If it doesn't, I don't care how natural or sweet-smelling or biodegradable it is, nor how much the manufacturer boosts wages in developing nations. That's all great stuff, but what's the point if the product doesn't get the job done? Why I chose Mrs. To be honest, she wasn't my first choice. Best in show What impressed me most about Clean Day was not only how well-rounded it was as a cleaner but also how consistently it outperformed several other cleaners I typically use (yeah right, like I hire a Denver area house cleaner). Results with the bathroom sinks were similar. The clincher was the bathroom floor's tile grout, which is supposed to be off-white but typically ranges from a sickly tan up through the earth tones and into a rich, brownish gray.
