How To Boot And Install Windows 7 From USB Flash Drive (Updated) Previously, I have discussed the way to create a Windows 7 USB installer drive using the command prompt. Even though I have make it easy to follow, there are still some of you having some difficulty in the process. Recently, I have come across this little cool portable application that is able to do all the things covered in the previous tutorial in a breeze and without the command prompt. The application that I am talking about is WinToFlash. Preparation Before you start, here are some stuffs that you need to take note of: 1) You need to have a USB drive of at least 3GB space in order to create a Windows 7 bootable USB drive. 2) The process will format and wipe off all your files in the USB drive. 3) You need to have a Windows 7 installer DVD and an optical drive to read the DVD. Installation Download WinToFlash Put in your Windows 7 installer DVD and plug in your USB drive. Unzip the folder to your desktop and run the WinToFlash.exe file Point the USB drive to the USB directory. Click Next.

City Generator John Conway's Game of Life The Game The Game of Life is not your typical computer game. It is a 'cellular automaton', and was invented by Cambridge mathematician John Conway. This game became widely known when it was mentioned in an article published by Scientific American in 1970. It consists of a collection of cells which, based on a few mathematical rules, can live, die or multiply. playgameoflife.com New developments of this page will continue on playgameoflife.com. playgameoflife.com The Simulation Figure from the XKCD RIP John Conway comic. The Rules For a space that is 'populated': Each cell with one or no neighbors dies, as if by solitude. Each cell with four or more neighbors dies, as if by overpopulation. Each cell with two or three neighbors survives. For a space that is 'empty' or 'unpopulated' Each cell with three neighbors becomes populated. The Controls Choose a figure from the pull-down menu or make one yourself by clicking on the cells with a mouse. Development Edwin Martin <edwin@bitstorm.org>

making buildings in foamboard miniature building construction in foamboard by Emmanuel Nouaillier Emmanuel Nouaillier shows how to scratch build and age miniature structures. This is will introduce my personal approach and techniques for scratch building and ageing buildings, pertaining to the typical northern French urban landscape of the 1940s and early 50s. I believe that a proper rendition of textures and adequate weathering of the different elements is important when making a miniature scene, where the optimal development of each small detail of a diorama becomes more a necessity to modellers who want to show, with utmost realism, models that are better detailed and weathered I will explain stage by stage in future articles how to create peculiar materials and elements and how to give the models ‘life’ while employing generic methods. Some of the ‘basic’ tools that I use to work the foam and give it some aspects and different alterations in scale. Forex may be an unfamiliar product to most modellers. Step 1 Step 2

Why I am a Possibilian Ten games that make you think about life At the start of this year, we decided to come up with a list of Flash casual games with a philosophical bent. To be honest, we struggled. After days of research, we could only find a handful of games that had the thought-provoking depth we were looking for. Fast forward to now, and it is remarkable how much difference a few months can make. In a wonderful twist, it seems it is the Flash gaming space - until now known more for the throwaway nature of its games rather than depth - that is leading the way in this exciting new area of gaming, as we hope the following games prove. One you have finished playing these games, check out our follow-up lists: Ten More Games That Make You Think About Life and Another 20 Games That Make You Think About Life. 1Immortall The game starts with you crash landing on a planet. 2Loved Take a cursory look at Alexander Ocias's Loved, and you could mistake it for a pretty basic platformer. 3I Can Hold My Breath Forever 4The Company of Myself 5Coma 6Loondon

OOT2D Map Project - Accepting Community Sprites - Read Well as many of you know I have spent the majority of my time here mapping and really just creating sprites which might be of use to an OOT2D project (the reason most of the oldschool members came here in the first place). I have been looking at the map which I now have, with all of the areas which I have created and come to the conclusion I am over half way through. What with the holidays starting now and me having nothing to do, I thought I might make a project out of it and see what I could get done. I have created this with several things in mind, firstly the maps must be as true to the original as possible. Secondly they must fit into the LTTP / FSA style, and thirdly they must piece together correctly (even though the original OOT map failed at this). So, what do I have and need to do? This means that I have now complete my project! Some of the links went down. Thanks, MaJoRa New:I am opening this project to the public. Master Yoshi - Temple of Time in Hyrule Castle Market.

Understanding Pac-Man Ghost Behavior Posted on December 2, 2010 It only seems right for me to begin this blog with the topic that inspired me to start it in the first place. Not too long ago, I came across Jamey Pittman’s “Pac-Man Dossier”, which is a ridiculously-detailed explanation of the mechanics of Pac-Man. I found it absolutely fascinating, so this site is my attempt to discover and aggregate similarly-detailed information about other games (albeit in much smaller chunks). However, as a bit of a tribute, I’m going to start with Pac-Man as well, specifically the ghost AI. About the Game “All the computer games available at the time were of the violent type - war games and space invader types. Pac-Man is one of the most iconic video games of all time, and most people (even non-gamers) have at least a passing familiarity with it. Every level of Pac-Man uses the same maze layout, containing 240 regular “food” dots and 4 energizers. Common Elements of Ghost Behaviour The Ghost House Target Tiles Ghost Movement Modes Sources

Radio 4 - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Ten more games that will make you think about life - StumbleUpon Life, eh? It's all a bit mad really, isn't it? Here we are, the products of millions of years of chance chemical and biological reactions, wandering around on a dying rock as it spins through the vast, indifferent universe with nought but the knowledge of our own inevitable oblivion for company. A sobering thought. And sobering thoughts will sure as sugar turn you to drink. 1 One Chance Here's something to think about - every decision we ever make, no matter how seemingly inconsequential it may be at the time, has the potential to fundamentally change our lives forever. Of course, the thing about decisions is you normally only get one chance to make them and, once they're made, you can't go back. You are the super-smart scientist whose discovery appears to have conquered one of the most devastating diseases known to humankind. 2 A Mother in Festerwood Kids, eh? Oh, they'll be back when they want feeding. 3 American Dream 4 As I Lay Dying 5 Prior 6 The End of Us 7 Pipedreamz 8 Flight 9 Distance
