Fed. Registry Educ. Excellence: 200,000 Free Learning Resources
The Federal Registry for Educational Excellence (FREE) has partnered with the Learning Registry to provide educators, parents, and students in the U.S. with more than 200,000 freely available resources online. The educational resource aims to be as comprehensive as possible and is packaged in a freshly launched website with a more responsive design. The Federal Registry for Educational Excellence makes it easier to find digital teaching and learning resources created and maintained by the federal government and both public and private organizations. Presently, FREE is an open registry of 221,989 educational links (and growing). Anyone can access the information by searching through the registry via the search engine or by drilling down through the subjects. The number of resources is listed alongside the respective subjects. FREE also hopes the new site will help the wider community contribute more easily and grow the information that is there.
