I should hang. I'm a hypocrite. I ask for sincerity and I lie. 15 Famous Authors’ Beautiful Estates “Decidedly, I’m a better landscape gardener than a novelist,” Edith Wharton once declared. Indeed, Wharton, whose birthday we celebrate today, was as much a designer and tastemaker during her life as she was a writer. In fact, her first published book, The Decoration of Houses, was a design manual, and so many of her novels glow with beautiful descriptions of design, atmosphere, and costume that could only have come from a knowledgeable hand. Wharton built her estate, The Mount, in 1902, and if you ask us, its rolling green gardens certainly do her claim justice.

Quote On Neglect - Picture Quotes - StumbleUpon People do what people actually want to do. This simple statement holds itself to be true in 99% of peoples lives. If a person really wants to do a certain thing, and they have their heart set on it, then more than likely they will accomplish it. Polone: Four Star Screenwriters Talk About Rewrite Hell Why does anyone want to be a screenwriter? It is the most difficult job in the business. Facing a blinking cursor and a blank screen is much tougher than interpreting that screenplay. Wedding Inspiration – DIY Wedding Our assistant art director recently got married to a photographer we often work with (Thomas Northcut) and as soon as I heard about it I knew I had to ask if we could share some photos, because I knew it would be stunning. The wedding took place in Maine, against a breathtaking backdrop of coastal scenery and amongst the couple’s closest friends and family. I love the casual, relaxed vibe of the wedding and special details like the kid’s tent (one of the adorable printed tents we used to sell at Free People), the beer boat, colorful confetti, and a bonfire complete with s’more-making. You can tell from looking at the photos that a lot of love was in the air.
