Obscure Sound

Obscure Sound
“With My Mind” is a stunning offering from Lazy Day, the solo project of Hella Better Dancer‘s Tilly Scantlebury. Just as her band tapped wonderfully into alternative-rock of the late ’80s and early ’90s, Till... High Magic have a very striking sound that sits in post-punk territory, but with an enjoyable emphasis on hard-rock as well. The vocals are unique – much like Nick Cave, Scott Walker, or Future Islands’ Samuel Herri... I was able to clock this compilation at around one hour exactly. I think it’s a great 60 minutes, one that follows the recent months’ trend of catering almost exclusively to the under-exposed.

This Sunday's set was a very special one for the rapper as him and his Social Experiment band went through an impressive collection of all the favorites from his popular mixtapes and even managed to slip in a few unreleased new tracks. This was truly something special as the love for his home city resulted in some unreal chemistry. Enjoy! Chance The Rapper | Lollapalooza Live 2014
