Critique d'AVAAZ Je reçois régulièrement des emails ou des visites sur ce blog à propos d'AVAAZ. Les sites qui permettent d'avoir un avis sur cette organisation américaine sont peu nombreux et ceux qui le sont en français encore moins. J'ai été volontaire pendant 3 mois avec AVAAZ au sein de l'"action factory" pour la préparation du sommet de Copenhague. Le but d'Action Factory (l'usine à actions) était pour AVAAZ de tester le fonctionnement d'un groupe de quelques dizaines de militants volontaires (avec une petite indemnisation) sur le terrain, mobile d'un pays à l'autre, pour mener une campagne complémentaire aux pétitions sur Internet. J'ai laissé tomber, Complètement dégouté par l'autoritarisme de cette organisation qui ne nous laissait aucune initiative contrairement à ce qui était annoncé dans l'email pour recruter. Au final, c'est une organisation peu crédible à mes yeux. D'autres liens :

Avaaz, the online campaigning giant that has taken action on Palestinian statehood, phone hacking and News International, and the pre-trial detention of Bradley Manning, among much else, is making its annual attempt to find an answer to that question this week. Avaaz's 2012 campaigns included a petition with nearly 1m signatures calling for universal education in Pakistan after the shooting of 15-year-old schoolgirl activist Malala Yousafzai. It was delivered by a UN envoy directly to the Pakistani president – who signed it himself. Avaaz also amassed 1.8m signatures for Palestinian statehood, and was part of the internet-wide efforts against new censorship laws in January.
