Baked Potato Soup - Slow Cooker Style
I've been looking for a baked potato soup recipe that didn't involve heavy cream for a while, and boy was I delighted when I found one... for the slow cooker!!! This came out really super yummy and reminds me a lot of Houlihan's Baked Potato Soup, which is an all-time favorite for Hubs and me. Below is my version of Baked Potato Soup for the Slow Cooker! Slow Cooker Baked Potato Soup Ingredients:5 pounds russet potatoes, washed but NOT peeled. Do you love slow cooker soup recipes?

Crock Pot Cream Cheese Chicken Chile Here's a super easy crock pot dish. It starts with two frozen chicken breasts. Put all the ingredients in a crock pot. Drain and rinse the beans. Give it a stir and top with cream cheese. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. If you're home stir after 2 or 3 hours to blend in the cheese. Serve over rice. Some chopped cilantro would be nice. Crock Pot Cream Cheese Chicken Chili (that's a mouthful!) 2 chicken breasts, still frozen 1 can Rotel tomatoes 1 can corn kernels, do not drain 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed 1 pkg. (This would also make an excellent dip!) Enjoy! Links: Funky Junk, Stone Gable,Savvy Southern Style, Designs By Gollum

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries These aren't anything complicated. With five ingredients, they take only a few minutes to put together. In fact, these were probably the least time-intensive food at my Cheesecake Extravaganza. Yet, I had more than a few people come up and proclaim their love for the finger food. You don't have to throw a cheesecake party to serve these....I imagine they'd be welcomed just about anytime! Next time, I'll make more... this was the first food to go at the Cheesecake Extravaganza, and with good reason! Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberriesfrom Nutmeg NannyIngredients: -1 lb large strawberries -8 oz. cream cheese, softened (can use 1/3 less fat) -3-4 tbsp powdered sugar (4 tbsp for a sweeter filling) -1 tsp vanilla extract -graham cracker crumbs Directions: 1.

Last week, I got some evil Kerrygold Samples in the mail. Aw, shucks. What is a girl to do? To prevent myself from inhaling it all in a 24 hour period, I put some in the freezer, but then immediately thought of this bread I’ve been wanting to make. They hang out in my booty. {TMI? This bread is the very reason why I run. And believe it or not, this is super simple to make! So, that’s all the info you need to know, m’kay? First thing you’re going to want to do is grab all your ingredients. Into a mixer bowl, add in your water, yeast and honey. Once your yeast has gotten foamy, stir in the salt and the flour in 1/4 cup increments. Once the dough starts pulling away from the sides and the bowl is looking pretty clean, then it’s time to set the timer and walk away. 5 minutes later your dough should be tacky and smooth. And melt it down. Hello, lover. See?

Cauliflower Pizza Bites When I am trying to eat better (ie: more veggies less chocolate) then I find it really helpful to have healthy snacks available for when I get the munchies. When I want something to snack on, I want it NOW. Let me start off by saying, these tasted very good. And...they were fairly simple to make. And....they are a great, healthy alternative for a snack. And... they freeze well so can be on hand for those cravings. Now...that being said....I probably won't be making them again anytime soon. Why? Well...let me show you a photo... This is my mini muffin tin in the aftermath of these pizza bites. I had to scrub out 24 tiny little circles and 12 tiny little squares. I mean...S-C-R-U-B... Not cool. The cauliflower mixture really cooked right onto the pans. Oddly enough, the pizza bites popped right out the pan (after I ran a butter knife around the edge of each one) and held their shape great. I don't know that paper liners would work.... Hmmm....any ideas? Cauliflower Pizza Bites

what i made for monday-mini apple pies. If you've been around a while you know that I like to make some sort of dessert or treat for my husband to take to work with him on Mondays. Food is my love language. I am not a diet friendly friend. It's just a small way that I feel I can help him with his work day...he and all his coworkers have a super long meeting on Mondays and...well, it's Monday...how can dessert not help that? Start by cutting up eight cups of apples into small 1/2in bits. Mix the apples with: 12 tablespoons of flour 1 1/2c of sugar 4 heaping teaspoons of cinnamon 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg (depending on how much you like nutmeg...you could also leave it out) You will also need: 4 tablespoons of chilled butter cut into 24 equal portions. Make sure you stir everything around getting the apples nice and coated. Unroll your first pie crust and cut several circles out. I found that a wide mouth mason jar ring worked perfectly. Line each cup of your muffin tin with a tiny pie crust. and put a dab on each pie. And YUM!

Baked Spasanga I came across this recipe on food.com. The description said this was the recipe for a dish at the restaurant Cheddar's. I've never been to (or heard of) Cheddar's, but the recipes sounded delicious. I immediately added it to the weekly menu. This was similar to my Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole, but cheesier. It uses 2 pounds of mozzarella cheese. Baked Spasanga(Printable Recipe) 24 oz spaghetti 32 oz mozzarella cheese, grated (yes - 2 lb of cheese) 8 ounces ricotta cheese 8 ounces sour cream 1 1/4 cups half-and-half 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese , divided 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp basil 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp salt 1 jar (26oz)spaghetti sauce 1 lb italian sausage or ground beef Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain. In large bowl, stir together sour cream, ricotta, half-and-half, mozzarella, oregano, basil, pepper, garlic, salt, and half the Parmesan cheese. Cover dish aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes.

Orange PushUp Smoothie When I was growing up, one of my favorite things to do was ride my bike with my friends to the local gas station’s mini-mart and reach into their freezer case and pull out an Orange Push-Up. If you like Orange PushUps, Orange Creamsicles, or Orange Julius this is the smoothie for you. I loved Push-Ups and seeing those brightly colored dots meant that creamy orange goodness was soon going to be mine. I love it when Push-Ups begin to melt because they taste even sweeter, creamier, and better. The same was true with this smoothie. This smoothie is a dead ringer for Orange Push-Ups. Don’t skimp on the sugar if you want it to taste exactly like an Orange Push-Up and I promise, it does. Sweet oranges ‘n creamy perfection. I used this mango-orange from Hawaii’s Own brand for the concentrate. If you can’t find this concentrate, I’m sure any OJ concentrate or citrus juice concentrate blend should be fine. 1. 2. 3. But I’ll shiver and chatter for this stuff any day. Print Recipe Yield: about 24 ounces

dinner reality check crock pot chicken & rice what? i have to make dinner tonight? ingredients: 2-4 frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese (let sit out to soften) 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 pkg. italian dressing seasoning (the dried kind in the packet) rice stir the cream cheese, cream of chicken, and seasoning together in the crockpot. i actually start it on low and let them sit in there for about 30 min so the cream cheese is softer to stir. cook the rice in a pot (or rice cooker if you're not dumb like me and know how to use the stupid thing) and smother with chicken mixture!
