DjRun for Android Plays Tracks that Match Your Pace While Jogging I use an armband for my Droid X and it works well. Where did you find an armband for your X? I'm trying to find something like that for my Bionic and have had little luck. One word "ARMBAND"! EDIT: haha! andrew you beat me too it. serves me right for not reading further down. I think I found mine at Target. Despite saying "walking" on it, it can handle my running, which gets up to a blazingly fast 8.5 minutes per mile with no problems that I've noticed. How to Use Your Android Phone as a Modem; No Rooting Required, Redux Last year we showed you how to tether your Android phone to your computer, no rooting required. The only catch was that it cost $16—now we’re back with a just as simple but free-as-in-beer solution. Our original guide was inspired by a reader email, asking us to help configure their Android phone and laptop for tethered browsing, and detailed how to use the robust PDAnet to tether. This guide is inspired by the recent release of Tether, a free application from Koushik Dutta, the brains behind the awesome ClockworkMod package for Android. Read on as we show you how to use ClockwordMod Tether. One word of warning before we continue; although we found Tether to be a perfectly acceptable alternative to PDAnet, it is still an Alpha release. What You’ll Need Accept for a quick download, you should have everything you need on hand already. Once you’ve downloaded the appropriate copy for your OS, you’re ready to rock. Installing Tether After downloading the installation app, launch it.

Great Lock Screens for Go Locker As you know, changing the launcher and lock screen of your phone can give you a completely revamped experience and make your phone feel brand new. Go Locker (developed and offered by the same great dev team behind Go Launcher and Go SMS, and which we reviewed here) is the most popular lock screen replacement app in the Play Store. Although it currently doesn’t offer the customizability present in WidgetLocker Lockscreen, Go Locker can be modded with a variety of free and paid themes available for download in the Play Store as well. In this roundup, I’ll show you a few of my favourite such mods. There is only one caveat when it comes to using Go Locker: Go Launcher has to be installed on your phone to use it. Although Go Locker does feature good integration into Go Launcher, you don’t actually need to be using Go Launcher as your active home screen – it just needs to be installed. Default Default Theme This is the only theme that is available when Go Locker is first installed. Dark Dark Halo

How to Be an Audiophile on the Cheap This is a terrific post. It's such a bummer to see people brush off "audiophiles" because they think quality sound is out of their price range. Even for people uncomfortable with DIY solutions, like myself, relatively cheap, superb audio is extremely possible. If you do your research you shouldn't have any trouble building an incredible system from scratch (receiver, source, speakers and cables) for well under $1,500. I've just gotten hooked by cheap audiophilia myself, so I thought I'd share some of my findings: Stereophile's "The Entry Level" Column: [www.stereophile.com] Stephen Mejias write a terrific monthly column about his experience ditching his expensive gear to try out notable cheaper equipment. CNET's Audiophiliac Blog: www.cnet.com/audiophiliac This covers a lot of pricey gear, but also hits on great budget components a lot. If you're going the vinyl route, you can't go wrong with the Musical Fidelity V-LPS phono preamp for $99. Marantz PM 5004 ($450) Record Player: CD Player:

How I Got Over the Jogging Beginner's Hump 99% of men who run bare-chested really ought not run bare-chested. Too many components work against you: chest hair, moobishness, or other parts of you that jiggle when you run that look rock-solid when you are standing looking at yourself in the mirror. Consider what you're subjecting others to when you're a sweaty mass galloping down the street. Be aesthetically kind. And before anyone yells at me: I tell my husband, who is very handsome and an IronMan in fact (and a barefoot runner to boot), that he's not one of the 1%. All that said, there are 1%'ers out there. Hey that was me the bare-chested Adonis. :) Not a fan of the hairy chest? Either way, I ran bare chested all the time when I was in highschool, never got any funny looks that I didn't earn!

[New App] InFoto Generates Beautiful And Informative Infographics From Your Pictures Odds are that as long as your phone is not brand new, you've taken a fair number of photos with it. Those images are so much more than a moment frozen in time; they contain delicious data ready to be splayed out and consumed. InFoto slurps up the EXIF data attached to your snapshots and builds some very cool-looking infographics from it. The app lets you generate a new infographic with a single tap, but you can also pull up the last data set instantly if nothing has changed. It can take a moment for InFoto to pull the data out of your images if you have a lot of them. The interface is very smooth, and I really like the consistent design carried through the entire app.

Unlock Root Roots Nearly 250 Android Devices in One Click [UPDATED] I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or not. This was a really tough one. I don't like the way this app does a lot of things. If its code was indeed stolen, I'd like to know from whom, and how—how does one steal code if something is closed source? From what I can see, it looks like he used exploits from other apps without crediting, which made people mad. That said, it worked for me and it's ridiculously simple to use. What I'd really like to see is this app become a bit more "legitimate", if the stolen code claim is true (and if the 250+ phones claim is true), since the community could probably really use something like this. Though there IS something to be said about rooting becoming so easy that people no longer understand what they're doing, and cause more problems because of it. No sarcasm... Yeah, the potential for bricking alone makes me think that rooting should be difficult. I really don't think bricking is as prevalent as people think it is.
