Preview: Warhol exhibition showcases work created in businesses, corporate and industrial sites On Sunday, an exhibition that is unusual even for an art city like Pittsburgh will open at a spot that's unusual for an art exhibition. "Factory Direct: Pittsburgh," a project of The Andy Warhol Museum, will showcase the work of 14 international artists, 11 at Guardian Self-Storage in the Strip District and three at the museum. A panel discussion with most artists will begin at 3 p.m Sunday at The Warhol. The artists worked in residence at businesses, corporate or industrial sites in and around Pittsburgh -- our contemporary "factories" -- and Guardian complements the project theme. The resultant art is as varied as the individual artists who participated.

Tiger Attacks Keeper At Steve Irwin's Zoo A tiger handler is being treated in hospital after being mauled during a show at the zoo started by Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. The 30-year-old was bitten on the neck and shoulder when the tiger became "over excited" during play, Australia Zoo says. The senior handler, who had raised the animal since it was a cub, remained in a serious but stable condition in hospital. He suffered two large puncture wounds and was conscious when he was flown to Brisbane from the zoo, which is on the Sunshine Coast.

Norwalk's Rashaad Penny is wrapping up prep career in style His name is Rashaad Penny, and lots of students at Norwalk High will remember him for years to come. "He's just a phenomenal athlete," Coach Jesse Ceniceros said. "He separates himself the moment he steps on the field." Penny, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound senior running back, has rushed for 2,380 yards and 39 touchdowns in leading Norwalk to a 13-0 record and a spot in the Southern Section Southeast Division championship game against Whittier La Serna. In his latest performance, Penny rushed for 321 yards and five touchdowns in Norwalk's 35-28 victory over Pasadena Muir on Friday. Among his touchdowns were runs of 92, 79 and 65 yards.
U-Haul Company of Orange County purchases Storage Direct Orange County’s U-Haul Company has acquired Storage Direct, a storage facility located on Newport Boulevard, and renamed it U-Haul Moving and Storage of Costa Mesa II. The new location will feature two, three story wood-framed and stucco self-storage buildings with 479 storage rooms and more than 37,560 net rentable square feet of storage. With this latest acquisition, U-Haul is promoting a more sustainable strategy in Costa Mesa.
