Symboliquement, les panneaux «douanes» seront enlevés d’un poste-frontière de la Slovénie et une enseigne «UE» sera installée à la frontière avec la Serbie, une autre ex-république yougoslave, elle seulement candidate à l’adhésion à l’UE. Pour le reste de ce qu’on nomme les Balkans occidentaux - Serbie, Bosnie-Herzégovine, Monténégro, Macédoine, Kosovo, tous anciens membres de l’ex-Yougoslavie morte dans les guerres des années 90, et Albanie, soit 18,5 millions de personnes (à savoir moins qu’un pays comme la Roumanie, admis dans l’UE en 2007) - l’adhésion de la Croatie n’est pas le signe d’une nouvelle fracture dans la région. Introducing Your Business? A Business ESL Role-play Class Set-up and Activity: Set up the class like 'airplane seating' with two rows of chairs side by side. Give everybody an activity sheet and a business profile. Give the students time to read the business profiles and the dialogue in the activity sheet. The vocabulary in the profiles can be difficult so make sure they understand it. You can deal with questions individually or answer them on the board for everybody to see (for example, What is a purchasing agent?). In the role-play, half the students are sitting down with an empty chair beside them. If you don't like the business profiles I've made, you can make your own (and send them to me so I can post them as alternatives!).

Your students will discover Facebook’s London office and what it looks like. They’ll also have a chance to discuss whether those extra facilities boost work efficiency, which ones are actually practical and which just look nice on paper. The aim of the lesson is to practise speaking skills with a work-related topic, but the worksheet also includes listening comprehension and vocabulary tasks. The worksheet starts with two warm-up tasks that introduce the topic but also get your students talking and practising their speaking skills. Before watching the video, ask your students whether they have seen or heard what the office space of big tech companies look like. Exercise 3 is a listening comprehension task.
