4M La vie après Tahrir Horreya CAFE, a sens of freedom A short walk away from Tahrir Square, lies Al Horreya Café (Freedom) which has been hosting a colorful clientele for decades. Lawyers, poets, doctors, employees and ordinary workers like to have a drink there, as some Western tourists and residents in Cairo. In this open space without doors on the Bab El Louk square, people come and go, mingle, and political discussions become easy with a bottle of Stella, the local beer, which is put automatically on the table when visitors arrive. “Al Kahwa" (The coffeeshop) is a gathering place in Egypt and Al Horreya is no exception to the rule.
