FLAM3 Index Separating in Adobe PhotoShop | Performance Screen Supply Screen Printing Equipment Index color separation converts a design/image into a diffusion dither random pixel pattern that almost totally keeps you away from the moire pattern problem. A moire pattern is a waveform pattern caused by interference between half-tone dot angle and screen mesh. The difference between diffusion dither and halftones is that halftones create shading using different size dots and dithering uses the same size dot but spaced out. It looks like stippling. In index printing, the dots do not overlap like in CMYK to create other colors. Instead they are printed beside each other. This process may take a few tries on your part to get the hang of it. First determine how many colors you can print. I only recommend index separations for light garment printing. Opening the Image First of all, I used a downloaded image from the internet for this tutorial to make writing it more interesting. Step 1: Open the image you need to separate (File > Open). Step 4: Make sure the image is Flattened.
Psykopaint - Create and paint amazing art from photos Digital Sanctuaries In a Rediscovered Trove of Art, a Triumph Over the Nazis’ Will Clockwise from left, a self-portrait by Otto Dix, who was despised by Hitler; a painting by Max Liebermann; and a picture of a woman by Matisse. They keep coming back, these works of art lost to the Nazis, like bottles washed ashore. Three years ago, a small stash of sculptures turned up when a front-loader was digging a new subway station in Berlin. Now some 1,500 pictures, an almost unfathomable trove, have surfaced; some were revealed in a news conference on Tuesday in Augsburg, . From the first few blurry online reproductions they seem to include paintings by Matisse and Courbet, Franz Marc and Max Liebermann, Marc Chagall, Max Beckmann and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, discovered in the Munich apartment of an old man named Cornelius Gurlitt whose father, Hildebrand, a dealer during the Nazi era, assembled a collection of the Modernist art that Hitler called “degenerate.” Among the very first goals of the Nazis was to purge German museums and ransack private collections.

Alberto Martini’s Haunting Illustrations of Dante’s Divine Comedy (1901-1944) In 1901, Vittorio Alinari, head of Fratelli Alinari, the world’s oldest photographic firm, decided to publish a new illustrated edition of Dante’s Divine Comedy. To do so, Alinari announced a competition for Italian artists: each competitor had to send illustrations of at least two cantos of the epic poem, which would result in one winner and a public exhibition of the drawings. Among the competitors were Alberto Zardo, Armando Spadini, Ernesto Bellandi, and Alberto Martini. While Martini did not win the competition, he, as Vittorio Sgarbi wrote in his foreword to Martini’s La Divina Commedia, “seemed born to illustrate the Divine Comedy.” With his feeling for the grotesque and the macabre, Martini’s work was much more influenced by the Northern Mannerism movement than Italian art and is often seen as a precursor to Surrealism, as Martini was a favorite of André Breton.
