Graceful Lace I have a thing with lace and shoes. A really, really big thing. In fact, this is the THIRD pair of shoes that I have made lacy this year. On the one hand, I will always have a pair of lace shoes to perfectly complement any outfit. On the other hand, who really cares? I feel like I have really perfected my lace covering technique. shoeslace fabric, approximately 1/4 yardspray adhesivescissorsMod Podge & small brushutility knife First take and cut a portion of your lace that is generously larger than the actual shoe. Turn your cut lace upside down (pretty side down, less attractive side up) and give a nice layer of spray adhesive. Starting with the toe portion of the shoe, place the lace with a good focal point on your shoe. When you get to the back of the shoe, cut the lace directly down the middle. Take the other side and trim so that the lace is just overlapping the first piece. Come back around with your spray adhesive and tack down anything that didn’t stick well the first go.

Throw it on with a pair of jeans, cork wedges, a long necklace, and you’re good to go just about anywhere. Best of all, white tees are such a staple that you can find them at just about any corner store, grocery store, mall, or pharmacy. We went with a few 3-packs of men’s undershirts by Hanes but, for most of these tutorials, you can use any old t-shirt you’ve got. 1. Grab a pair of tricked out cutoffs and throw on this top for a day of summer fun. To create this look, You’ll want to cut off the sleeves and collar of your tee. 2. Watermelon Granita I don't know why but I've always been intimidated by the term "granita" and thought it was too fancy for me to try on my own. Well, it is fancy! But guess what, it's also super easy, and really fresh and light. A perfect summer dessert. I followed the recipe from my latest Bon Appetit Magazine . Watermelon Granita: 4 cups (1 3/4 pounds) cubed seedless watermelon (from a 4-lb. melon) 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice Directions: Purée all ingredients in a blender (I used a food processor) until smooth.
