“Sesame Street” Books are Free on Kindle, Apple Books, and More
It’s “free content day,” or at least it feels that way. If you’re kids already have enough screentime thanks to free Prime Video content, you could consider picking up Sesame Street eBooks. Yesterday, Sesame Workshop announced it a “Caring for Each other” initiative, along with free eBooks through Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, and Kobo. With so many schools closed everywhere, many parents are probably looking for more to do with their children.
Space science from home: resources for children and adults
With many people across the world staying at home these days, we have curated a selection of activities for you to pass time and learn more about space science in the meantime. Armchair astronomy You could start with ESASky, a discovery portal that provides full access to the entire sky. This open-science application allows computer, tablet and mobile users to visualise cosmic objects near and far across the electromagnetic spectrum – from gamma rays to radio wavelengths – as observed by many space science missions, operated by ESA and other agencies, as well as ground-based telescopes.

Founded in 1937, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is dedicated to promoting the understanding and appreciation of art, primarily of the modern and contemporary periods, through exhibitions, education programs, research initiatives, and publications. The Guggenheim network that began in the 1970s when the Solomon R. Microaggressions in the Classroom
As a white, privileged, cisgender, heterosexual male, I can walk into most situations with people of my own race, or with mixed race, gender, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status groups, and not have to be on my guard. I do not have to worry if others think I legitimately belong there because of course I do. Nobody wonders how I got my job, and my input is most often given credibility. I do not spend excess energy in the form of stress hormones, which affect the body and emotions in a myriad of negative ways, worrying about any of that, nor do I have to deflect little, perpetrator-unaware "digs" at me based on skin color, culture, socio-economic status, or sexual orientation. I can go through life fairly oblivious, assuming others experience interactions, privileges, freedoms, and status as I do. Defining Microaggression

On Jun 16, 1944: Fourteen-Year-Old George Stinney Executed in South Carolina
On June 16, 1944, George Stinney Jr., a ninety-pound, black, fourteen-year-old boy, was executed in the electric chair in Columbia, South Carolina. Three months earlier, on March 24, George and his sister were playing in their yard when two young white girls briefly approached and asked where they could find flowers. Hours later, the girls failed to return home and a search party was organized to find them. George joined the search party and casually mentioned to a bystander that he had seen the girls earlier.
