Ready for a bit of DIY love? :) A little town at night.. isn’t it sweet?! There are a few tricks to making this DIY a success, all to do with finding the perfect image. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. I was lucky enough to have found some old photo books at a market in Germany that hold some of the coolest black and white photos from the War era.. perfect for a project like this one! Here’s what you’ll need: **Note: Use only Battery powered tea lights ! Step 1: You want to start cutting and finish cutting at around the same height on either side of your picture. Step 2: Trim away any other areas you don’t want, but don’t trim the sides yet. Step 3: Using your Xacto knife and a cutting mat, carefully cut out any windows you want the light to shine through. Step 4: Wrap the image into a cylinder (size is up to you) and sticky tape it together. Step 5: Add your battery operated tea light, and wait until it gets dark! **Note: Use only battery powered tea lights!

At the core of the project is the development of an innovative robotic fabrication process within the context of the building industry based on filament winding of carbon and glass fibres and the related computational design tools and simulation methods. Do-it-Yourself DIY String Wedding Lanterns Yarn Chandeliers Jessica of Wednesday Inc shows us how to make those gorgeous twine chandeliers from the inspiration shoot she shared with us this morning. Using balloons, glue and twine, you can also make these lanterns for your wedding – and then bring it home and use it as your very own mid century lampshade. What you will need are: balloons, glue, yarn, tray for glue, corn starch 1/2 cup of Corn starch, 1/4 cup of Warm water, clear fast drying spray paint, hanging lamp cord or fishing line (depending on your desired final product), and a lighting kit if you’re looking for a fully functional lantern. Well, I finished most of the costume EARLY this year (meaning not the night before or morning of) and I’m a little unsure of how I feel about it. I’m actually so impressed that I was able to get these pics of Yuki. So in case you don’t know who Totoro is, he is a character from a Japanese animated movie, となりのトトロ or My Neighbor Totoro. So cute, right?! Something about this costume reminds me of Max from Where the Wild Things Are. For the hood, I used a hooded jacket to trace the shape.

Pentru inceput delimitezi dreptunghiuri de orice dimensiune crezi tu ca se potriveste. Inainte sa decupezi dreptunghiurile, acopera-le pe o singura parte cu banda scotch. Bucatile de hartie trebuie impaturate pentru a putea fi folosite. ...trebuie conectate intre ele: In modul asta faci cateva randuri care vor deveni peretii gentii. Din fiecare rand trebuie sa faci un cerc. Aceste cercuri o sa formeze peretii gentii, deci inaltimea gentii o sa depinda de numarul de cercuri. Randurile se cos intre ele in zig-zag. O sa rezulte un plic:

The Medusae Collection These translucent creatures floating overhead will provide a certain ethereal ambiance to any dinner party. The Medusae Collection is a series of creative lamps by Roxy Russell Design, who suggests that, with these, you can “add a little underwater illumination to your space.” The lamps provide a soft glow overhead while the beautiful design is a constant reminder of the mystical world that lives below the surface of the sea. Roxy Russell is fascinated with the ocean and she says it is “a boundless source of inspiration” for many of her designs. This project is a way for the artist to pay tribute to the vast, watery expanse that covers a majority of the earth’s surface, while also bringing an awareness to the growing problem of pollution that occurs in our oceans. The lamps are actually formed out of plastics themselves, but Russell explains that the importance is not the material itself, but the way in which we use it and then choose to reuse and recycle it.
