Jeff Koons Jeff Koons was born in York, Pennsylvania in 1955. He studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1976. Koons lives and works in New York City. J’entends par espace mental aussi bien la construction de pensées qui s’échafaudent face à un espace ou un lieu, que les univers virtuels et constructions mathématiques ou schématiques élaborés pour que chacun puisse se projeter dans un espace inexistant ou éloigné. Je confronte souvent un espace réel, le lieu d’exposition, avec une représentation d’une perception mentale d’un autre espace. J’aime jouer sur ce paradoxe qui est de chercher à matérialiser ce que serait un espace mental.
