Mapping del.icio.us with Anthracite and OmniGraffle Several people have asked me how I produced the visualizations that I used in my talk on del.icio.us. While those visualizations were constructed with a rather eclectic mixture of homebrewed code, assorted applications, and a good bit of elbow grease, I decided to put together a tutorial for people who might be interested in this type of visual exploration, but are not inclined to write custom Perl code to do so. Hence, I have selected a combination of two very nice applications for Mac OS X - Anthracite and OmniGraffle - to produce similar visualizations. Neither application is free, but both have free trial periods, should you be inclined to check them out. As an alternative to OmniGraffle, the excellent open source program Graphviz may be used, although it is less user-friendly than OmniGraffle. The sequence of steps we will go through is as follows:

Cannabis eases multiple sclerosis (MS) stiffness per study published in neurology journal Yellowj/Shuttertsock.com Use of cannabis extract helps ease painful muscle stiffness among patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), according to a large trial published on Tuesday in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. The "Phase III" test -- the final stage in a process to vet a new drug or medical process -- took place among 22 centres in Britain. Over 12 weeks, 144 patients were given daily tablets of tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the active ingredient in cannabis, and 135 were given a dummy pill, also called a placebo. Doses were gradually escalated, from 2.5 milligrams to a maximum of 25 mg for two weeks, following top-up doses for the remaining two weeks. At the end of the study, 29.4 percent of people in the cannabis group said they had experienced relief from muscle spasms, compared to 15.7 percent in the placebo group, according to an 11-point rating.

What Do I Need to Do After Losing My Wallet? Good points if you know your wallet is really gone, but 90% of the time, a lost wallet means I misplaced it and it's always going to turn up in the oddest place. Best thing to do is not carry a lot of 'identity theft' stuff in your wallet, in the first place: -Obviously, no one should carry their Social Security card, memorize the number and keep your SS card in a safe. -Driver's license is not much choice, but some people I know keep theirs in their car. I guess the address part is important, assuming someone decides to return the wallet.
