Health Psychology Careers - www.ClinPsy.org.uk Hey Sarah, Congrats on your first. Sounds like you're developing some good experience there! Like Flutterbye, I'm also a trainee health psychologist (HPs) and maybe able to answer some of your questions on routes to health psychology (HP) as a career option. Health Psychology postgraduate training The MSc in Health Psychology is sometimes known as 'stage 1' and the doctorate in health psychology (or independent route into qualifying as a HPs ie non doctorate route and stage 2 BPS route) tends to be known as 'stage 2'. Although I completed my MSc in HP at a different university, I definitely would recommend an MSc in HP with placement opportunities, such as the one at Bath. At my current university any experience 'counts' towards stage 2 training if it follows after graduating from the MSc in HP. During my MSc in HP, several of us were interested in clinical psychology (CP) and we deliberately tailored our chosen essays and research projects with a CP stance. Several HPs with PhDs.
