Graceful Earring Stand Made From a Picture Frame
How do you store your earrings? If you do not have a suitable solutions then pay attention to this idea. The creator of this stand has spent about $ 5 and no more than 30 minutes. The idea is really amazing, to make similar you will need: picture frame, wire, acrylic paint & brush, stapler or tacks. You can add an effect of antiquities to the frame using scrapes and a combination of colors. Detailed guidance can be found at Kevin and Amanda.

Master Bedroom Revamp {Part Two} – DreamGreenDIY So, as you saw in our {Part One} post yesterday, we scored a BEAUTIFUL quilt/pillow set from Target – It has already made the room seem brighter, more cheery and a touch more elegant (especially in comparison to the scratchy old black comforter that used to dress the bed). Here’s the bedroom before: And then after the addition of our new bedding: But we weren’t finished there… I mentioned last week that we started working on a certain thrifted side table that used to live in my old apartment (seen pointed to in the photo below). But in the new house, it seemed a little too antique-y…Time for a facelift!! Here are some better pictures of it (sorry, it was a bit in shadow in the photo above): John and I decided to spring for a new tool for this project – A hand sander. I didn’t have much (i.e. anything) to do with the sanding – this was all John – So I can’t tell you much about its performance. Here are some progress shots of the process: Here it is all done! Time for a spray down P.S.

Framed Jewelry Organizer Necklaces always seem to get tangled in a jewelry box. This is a DIY tutorial to make a framed jewelry organizer that both displays your pretty necklaces and keeps them tangle-free. You can either hang it on the wall or lean it against a vanity table. thrifted vintage frame peg board cup to size wood glue scissors ribbon knobs or hooks spray paint (optional) Start with a vintage thrifted frame. Before securing the peg board to the frame I make a couple loops for hanging dangling earrings. I double knotted the back. Next I glued with wood glue the peg board to the back of the frame. I picked up some of these knobs and hook on sale from my local Anthropologie. The hook’s holes didn’t quite line up with the peg board’s so I tied ribbon through like I did for the earring loops. Then I installed my knobs and hung my jewelry.

Melted Crayon Art | Unsimple Living Perhaps I should begin this post by introducing you to my mom, also known as Her Ladyship Craftiness…er, Her Royal Craftiness? I’m still working on the title. Regardless, she’s the coolest, most creative and talented woman I know. She can make pretty much anything. At least once during high school, I borrowed a friend’s purse, brought it home to Mom, and she whipped one up just like it for me. Yes, I probably abused the power of being Her Ladyship’s daughter, and I no longer steal my friends’ purses, but the point is: my mom is awesome. If you follow Young House Love, Bower Power, Making a House a Home, or Style by Emily Henderson you know how timely her visit was, as today is the big reveal for the Pinterest Challenge. The supplies were pretty simple: canvas, crayons, and hot glue. The next step was to peel off the paper labels from all 60 crayons. It worked like a charm. What do you think of our masterpiece? Total money spent: $9.60 Total time spent: about 1½ hours Like this:

Comics, Quizzes, and Stories Home Office Organizing Tips and DIY Projects I finally found that part time job I’d been searching for, and this past Friday I started my first day of work as an office assistant. It’s a great job, and while I still have a lot to learn, I’m excited to not only be working for a small family owned company, but to have friendly and awesome co-workers as well. As it turns out, however, I now have two offices. The office at work and my office at home. While there’s not a lot I can do about the office that isn’t mine – at least there are no scary cubicles lurking about – I can find ways to make mine better organized. Desk space is always going to limit you, so the key to finding more space is looking up. Again, if your short on desk space then you don’t want bins stacking up for incoming and outgoing mail. Again, if you’re looking to create more desk space, look up, and organize with a wine rack. I Heart Organizing offers more insight into ways to create more room for more concise organization. Project Display Board Or I guess I should say…….. project/photo/bills/chores/etc. display board. The uses are endless. And you can make this little board fit the theme of any of your decor. So it blends right in. Perfect. I just needed a solution for wet art that was making a mess touching other things in my home. Solved that problem. All I did was cover a board with a layer of Mod Podge and then layed a piece of fabric on top of that. And then I covered the front and sides with a nice layer of Mod Podge. Then I covered some jumbo wooden clothes pins the same way. Next, I let everything dry completely and the hot glued the jumbo pins to the board. Great for all sorts of purposes.
