Using string, moss, grass, and bowls or a glass reservoir, various types of plants are transformed into mid air planted floating gardens that are a variation of kokedma, a Japanese botanical style. The string gardener says his intention is for the plants to “find their balance” as they grow and become heavy. The string gardens are meant to be viewed at eye level. Some of the plants are covered with moss and placed in a bowl, others are woven into horizontal nets which are covered with moss, clover and grass.
