DIY Woven Chain Bracelet Chain link bracelets, with colorful threads woven through them, have been popping up here and there. We adore Aurèlie Bidermann‘s Do Brazil bracelets and thought it was about time we graduate to the ultimate “grown-up” friendship bracelet. With a curb chain bracelet and some embroidery thread, we’ll teach you how to make your own woven chain bracelet. And one for your bestie too, of course. You’ll need:a curb link braceletembroidery threadtwo bobby pinsa pair of scissors Cut 2 sets of 15 strands of embroidery thread, with each strand measuring four times the length of the bracelet. While we love the intricate detailing of the gorgeously beaded wrap bracelets we've been seeing in boutiques both online and offline, we knew there had to be a quick and easy hack for getting the same look at home. Thanks to silver ball chain found at any hardware store or craft store, becoming a wrap star is as easy as pie! Materials: - silver ball chain - silver ball clasps - embroidery floss - scissors - tape - optional: leather lacing, yarn For our first wrap bracelet, we used teal embroidery floss and light blue yarn. Take a length of chain that suits you. Lay the chain next to the yarn and tie the embroidery floss around the two. We wrapped each section 3 or 4 times. We used yarn to give the bracelet a funky texture, additional color, and because it helped the embroidery floss stay in one place. Next up, we used leather and got a little knotty.

How to make beaded jewelry DIY Flower Halo You’ll start by cutting 2 circles from the piece of felt at approximately 2″ in diameter. Form the wires of your halo by molding and bending each piece into a half circle. Lay the two half circles opposite of each other to create a single circle, laying it over the top of your head to check the fit. Wrap floral tape over 2 sections of overlapping wire at 11 o’clock and 3 o’clock. Trim any overlapping pieces with the wire cutters. Using the wire cutters, cut the stem off the flower making sure the back is flat. The possibilities are endless with this as you can wrap flowers around half or the entire perimeter of the halo, reinforcing with glue. Your flower halo is ready to wear! new wool landscape brooches I've been working on just a few new brooches lately and wanted to give you a peek. These are all small needlefelted wool scenes fitted into bases that I make by hand. I was really liking how the cracks in this stump lined up with the leafless trees in this nighttime scene. A golden field against a clear blue sky. I've shared this piece previously in a Wordless Wednesday post. Making these little scenes allows me to daydream about peaceful places I've been and places I'd like to see. These will be in my shop on Monday at noon CST. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
