We’re bringing with us information that will help schools and teachers integrate Microsoft certifications into the curriculum, use them as learning and assessment resources, and prepare students for success in higher education and future careers. We will be making three types of certification exams available to ISTE attendees onsite, at no cost. WWT Excel Add-In Suppose you have spatial data that is time-tagged, so your minimum data set is a location—latitude and longitude—and a date. And suppose your data is in an Excel spreadsheet. By installing the WorldWide Telescope Add-in for Excel, you can highlight and “push” your data into the visualization environment in seconds. Update your data, and the visualization updates automatically. Save the data, send it to a colleague, and they can see what you’re working on and add their data. The collaboration possibilities are many after just a few minutes of learning about the new Excel ribbon.
Blaine's Movie Maker Blog: WMM 6.0 on Windows 7 If you are reading this, I'm going to assume you've upgraded or purchased at least one PC with Windows 7 or 8 and discovered Windows Movie Maker is no where to be found. In its place, Microsoft now offers a set of programs called "Windows Essentials". Often these programs are installed on a new PC but otherwise you must download the Movie Maker program to once again have the ability to edit movies. Many people have tried the newer version of Movie Maker 2011 or 2012 and complained about the lack of a traditional timeline, issues with crashing, long times to prepare video files and the inability to customize the transitions, effects and titles.
