The current print issue is available to buy in bookshops and via the website, or by subscription. The website is updated with new, usually web-only content in the first week of each month. The journal was conceived as an arts and literary journal specialising in artistically or educationally meritorious works of new or emerging artists and writers. homepage Arquinset BiblioUNED abierta tenmagazine Jornades LOW TECH — Centre de Cooperació per al Desenvolupament de la UPC La construcció tradicional s’ha basat en tecnologies diverses que avui considerem senzilles però que precisaven d’uns amplis coneixements basats, principalment, en l’experiència. Actualment, les exigències en edificació semblen abocades a tecnologies cada vegada més complicades i avalades per la ciència i els assaigs de laboratori. Tot i així, en determinades circumstàncies, en entorns on les condicions locals ho precisen, o com a posicionaments personals amb intenció de desenvolupar tecnologies de baix impacte ambiental i més sostenibles, es treballa en el que hem anomenat tecnologies “Low Tech”, relacionades amb sistemes i solucions constructives properes, adequades i, fins i tot, molt recomanables. En aquestes jornades pretenem fer difusió d’aquestes tecnologies a partir d’experiències reals i en edificis construïts sota paràmetres i exigències de seguretat i de confort actuals. Objectives: To be able to design and construct a collection of clothing and accessories in various domains of the fashion industry, specializing in a specific market in their final year. Program: This program is divided equally between design and patternmaking two distinct skill sets known in France as Stylisme and Modelisme. A Culture of Curiosity ­Friday, October 12th 2007, 7:00 PM, at Photographer's Gallery, 5 & 8 Great Newport Street, London This evening of talks and performances presented some antique and modern wonders from the magazine’s cabinet of curiosities. Sina Najafi, editor-in-chief and host for trhe evening, introduced the magical sweetener that is Miracle Fruit. Orfebre fabrica colección de anillos en honor a los oficios de nuestro país « Diario El Trabajo Jorge Herrera Campos es dueño de su horario y destino, es el único Orfebre profesional en Santa María Roberto González Short – rgonzalez@eltrabajo.cl SANTA MARÍA.- Desde que era sólo un adolescente y cursaba sus estudios en Educación Media, Jorge Herrera Campos, un vecino de Villa Mirasol, decidió dar rienda suelta a sus talentos manuales y comenzar a fabricar barcos de madera a escala. Sus habilidosas manos le llevaron, años más tarde, a convertirse en el único orfebre profesional que existe en la comuna. En esta máquina especial, Jorge Herrera logra laminar los metales con los que trabaja en su pequeño taller. Herrera tiene 31 años, es soltero y dice estar sin compromisos sentimentales, pese a que inició su carrera de Análisis de Sistemas en una universidad, faltándole sólo un semestre para terminar, decidió cambiar de rumbo e inscribirse como alumno de Orfebrería en la Escuela de Artes y Oficio Almendral.
