Collection of Awesome Things (63 pics) | Redrif - StumbleUpon Dec 14/11 Collection of Awesome Things (63 pics) Another collection of some very creative and awesome stuff. Which one of this would you like for Christmas? Ideo's David Kelley on Love and Money Yesterday, a couple hundred of us gathered at the Stanford d.school to celebrate David Kelley's 60th birthday. The outpouring of love and affection was something -- the guests included old friends he grew-up with, his family, Stanford colleagues (David is a professor and the main founder of the Stanford d.school), IDEO colleagues (David is co-founder of IDEO, was the first CEO, and the driving force behind the culture), dozens of former students, many of his friends from Silicon Valley businesses, and his friends from the car world (David loves old cars and has a pretty cool collection of old American cars and other cool things like a well-restored and "chopped" Mini and some classic Porsches). The outpouring of affection was even stronger than it might have been because several years back David was diagnosed with cancer, and he seems to have beat it (his doctor was there, who David thanked for saving his life). This is developed on Good Boss, Bad Boss in some detail. Robert I.

Right from the day we brought them home they have fit right in. Your prices are so reasonable that we were able to buy both the babies rather than just one and I am sure that they are happier being together! I will continue to stay in touch and keep you updated on the babies. Best wishes, Karen PS… I am fairly sure that Zoë is actually a Joey! KC Kelly 6/1/03 Cockatiel I just wanted to let you know that Pearl Pied {aka "Sarah"} is doing great. All By Myshelf: Montage of Cake As promised, here are the pictures of my birthday cake, as well as pics of my last two cakes (a.k.a. the best cakes I've ever made). First, the cake from two years ago, the Barbie cake. This was the first elaborate cake I ever did, and I was rather pleased with how it turned out. Last year's cake will likely never be topped. This years cake was inspired by my favorite book (of the moment), The Hunger Games . I think it turned out really well. So, those are the cakes from my last three birthdays. My parents gave me a purple Webbie HD camera !!! It's so tiny! Well, I think that does it for this post. Eclectically yours, Dahlia

Say it with Cake - {Super Epic Rainbow Cake} Click here to buy a print! Two cakes in one week. I might have a bit of a problem. But... I dunno for sure. Anyway, I made this cake for a good friend. A friend that started as my worst enemy 12 years back, a friend that dreams of losing shoes and a friend that understands the great significance of screaming "EARTHQUAKE!" As soon as she told me she was having a going-away party, I thought of the perfect dessert to tote along. The six individually baked layers match her insanity (in a good way!!!) That wasn't very eloquent, was it? But the most important aspect of this cake, the thing that makes it so her is the fact that it's frosted in white buttercream. And then it all makes sense. PEACE OUT, G! Edit March 28, 2010 The following video was mailed to me by the Daly family (thanks again - you guys are awesome!!). Super Epic Rainbow CakeI'm adding a disclaimer here: THERE IS A LOT OF FROSTING/BUTTER IN THIS CAKE. Watch me make this cake with Ms. Printable Recipe Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.

Prefab and prefabricated homes, luxury custom home plans, panelized post and beam homes How to Grow a Pineapple Top Indoors Once roots appear, plant the pineapple in a fast draining potting soil such as a Bromeliad or Cactus Potting Soil mixed with a third perlite. An eight-inch porous clay pot with bottom drainage is ideal. Layer about two inches of stones in the bottom of the pot prior to putting in the soil/perlite mix. The picture to the left illustrates the materials needed (the two pottery shards in the front are to put over the drainage holes; these came from an extra clay saucer that I broke up). The first step is to cover the drainage hole with the pottery shard. Second, put in a layer of stones followed by the soil and perlite mix. In terms of watering, the soil should always be slightly moist; not wet (which will promote rot) and not dry. After about two months, the pineapple should be supporting itself as a new plant. At this point you should notice that the original leaves of the pineapple will begin to die and turn brown, with new leaves beginning to grow at the center.

How to record holophonic sound the easy way How to win Rock-paper-scissors every time - StumbleUpon I admit it. When I first heard there are actual tournaments for Rock-paper-scissors, sanctioned by the World Rock Paper Scissors Society, I laughed. I mean seriously, $50k to the winner of a game that requires no skill whatsoever? Absurd. Rock-paper-scissors isn't just a silly game kids play or a way to decide who has to be the designated driver at parties. Males have a tendency to throw rock on their first try, inexperienced RPS players will subconsciously deliver the item that won previously, and paper is thrown least often, so use it as a surprise.

Things People Said: Courtroom Quotations The following quotations are taken from official court records across the nation, showing how funny and embarrassing it is that recorders operate at all times in courts of law, so that even the slightest inadvertence is preserved for posterity. Lawyer: "Was that the same nose you broke as a child?"Witness: "I only have one, you know." Lawyer: "Now, Mrs. Johnson, how was your first marriage terminated?" Accused, Defending His Own Case: "Did you get a good look at my face when I took your purse?" The defendant was found guilty and sentenced to ten years in jail. Lawyer: "What is your date of birth?" Lawyer: "Can you tell us what was stolen from your house?" Lawyer: "What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?" Lawyer: "Can you describe what the person who attacked you looked like?" Lawyer: "This myasthenia gravis -- does it affect your memory at all?" Lawyer: "How old is your son, the one living with you?" Lawyer: "What was the first thing your husband said to you when he woke that morning?"
