In this course we will discuss the basics of of human nutrition, including what nutrients we need, how the body uses those nutrients, dietary suplements and food additives, and food safety. This course will be most useful for students entering healthcare fields such as nursing, rehabilitation, health promotion, or counselling, but it will be of value to any student who is interested in the role of nutrition in a healthy lifestyle.
