This is Future Living The Future Living house is a testament to the will of design. It took twenty six designers (a feat in itself) to create it. Every technologic leap was analyzed to make sure anything proposed was possible by 2050. It’s a paradigm shift in home resource creation and location. Water uses gravity to generate pressure. Innovative Windows by Fakro can Add Small Terraces to Attic Rooms
We ran across these innovative window systems designed by Fakro, which can easily add a balcony or a small terrace to a room. The clever mechanism, found on Inhabitat, is described by the producers as follows: “The upper top hung sash (of the window) opens upwards, whereas the lower sash can be tilted forwards, allowing easy access to the balcony recess. When rotated through 0° to 45°, the sash is supported by an innovative auxiliary system which allows leaving the open sash in any position within this range. The upper sash can be raised up to 45°.
The Gravity of Illusion: Dyson’s Mysterious Garden Fountain
A simple water feature can take an ordinary deck and turn it into something magnificent. But a water feature fashioned by celebrated industrial designer James Dyson (of Dyson vacuums fame) is bound to be the most unforgettable water feature ever. This fountain, part of an overall garden design dubbed “The Wrong Garden,” was created by Dyson for the Royal Horticultural Society’s 2003 Chelsea Flower Show. Like everything else designed by Dyson, it accomplishes a seemingly impossible task with highly astonishing style: in this case, it makes water flow uphill. Dyson’s inspiration for the highly unusual outdoor fountain was M.C. The secret is deceptively simple: the water is actually flowing inside and through the tanks and being propelled through small openings at the highest corner of the tanks.

10 Buildings Shaped Like What They Sell
Looking for a good way to advertise your business? Why not shape your headquarters like what you sell or offer? It’s worked out pretty well for these businesses and groups. 1. The Longaberger Company, Newark, OH Longaberger is known for its handcrafted maple baskets, so its headquarters are obviously shaped like a giant basket. 2. Between 1983 and the mid-1990s, Twistee Treat opened 90 or so ice cream shops around the country, and each one is shaped like a delicious cone of soft-serve vanilla. 3. Parking garages are usually eyesores, but this one’s beautiful. 4. Kansas City doesn’t have a monopoly on book-shaped buildings, though. 5. This one’s a Boston institution. 6. United sells and rents heavy equipment like compactors and excavators, so it’s only natural that the company’s headquarters building is shaped like a two-story yellow bulldozer. 7. 8, 9 and 10.

Timely Steeping I am in love with the Tea-time tea steeper for its intuitive design and simplistic interaction between tea leaves, water and steeping time! A flipping action, akin to starting the timer, sets the tea making process into action. Loose tealeaves and hot water do their steeping business and the ready tea slowly trickles down to the bottom beaker. The timer/filter hold back the leaves and your cuppa is ready to sip!
