Dwolla is everywhere, including Forbes, the Atlantic and tech blogs Dwolla, the Des Moines-based startup that moves money for 25 cents a transaction, is getting a flurry of national attention this month. The website Business Insider named Dwolla one of “the 20 most innovative startups in tech.” The site also interviewed founder Ben Milne under the headline: “This 28-Year-Old’s Startup Is Moving $350 Million And Wants To Completely Kill Credit Cards” The stories were picked up by The Atlantic and the San Francisco Chronicle. Last week, a Forbes blog also featured the company. The technology blog Read Write Web proclaimed: “The Mobile Payments Capital of the U.S: Des Moines, Iowa?” Dwolla is moving between $30 million and $50 million a month. “Time will tell if you love us or hate us for the direction we’ve decided to take the company,” the company said in an invitation.
