I'm not a professional, nor do I make any money off of it. I'm a hobbyist at best, a poseur at worst. If piracy of PS drives up the price, then why are student versions less than $100? I actually force myself to use Gimp for anything of any real value that will actually get seen online, and tinker with Photoshop just to keep up to date on the differences and advances in the prodcut and to keep my skillz up. There are plenty of other products in other categories that I can no longer find on the interwebs, yet somehow a google search yields me Photoshop on the first page of results? Adobe knows what they're doing by allowing Photoshop to survive in cracked forms on the internet. But like I said, the feature in this post is one that, had I the means, would convince me to pay for Photoshop.
