ACLU Leaders Are Supporting Censorship of Israeli Speakers :: Hudson New York The international campaign to prevent speakers from delivering pro-Israel talks at universities has been assisted by leaders of the American Civil Liberties Union—an organization that is supposed to protect freedom of speech for all. The method used to silence these speakers and preclude their audiences from hearing their message is exemplified by a now infamous event at the University of California at Irvine. Michael Oren—a distinguished scholar and writer, a moderate supporter of the two-state solution, and now Israel's Ambassador to the United States—was invited to speak. The Muslim Student Union set out to prevent him from delivering his talk Here is the way Erwin Chemerinksy, Dean of the law school, described what the students did: "The Muslim Student Union orchestrated a concerted effort to disrupt the speech. Chemerinsky understates what happened, as anyone can see by watching a video of the event, available online ( The opposite is true.

Fall to Grace - TGC Reviews Jay Bakker with Martin Edlund, Fall to Grace: A Revolution of God, Self, and Society (New York: Faith Words, 2011), 194 pages. In our American culture that revels in the public humiliation of others, we often miss the stories of how children are affected by these scandals. Que Fall to Grace. Jay Bakker uses humor to expose the hurt of his family’s public disgrace, and his style is disarming, hilarious, and enjoyable. Classic self-deprecating wit and images like chubby white kids auditioning to play him in made-for-TV-movies or Michael Jackson dangling babies makes this book a hilarious read. Bakker distorts the gospel through the error of overreaction. Bakker warns that we play “fast and loose with God’s reputation” when we “make up rules that have no basis in Christ’s teaching” (68). Heart of the Book At the heart of Fall to Grace is not simply the grace of God but Bakker affirming homosexuality.

Delaware Abortion Regulations Pushed After Gosnell Horror by Steven Ertelt | Dover, DE | | 2/22/11 1:01 PM State Share A national pro-life organization is working with local pro-life groups and elected officials in Delaware to promote better regulation of the abortion industry in the state following the horrors found at the Kermit Gosnell abortion center in nearby Philadelphia. Gosnell is the abortion business owner who ran one of the most filthy and unregulated abortion centers ever exposed and his shoddy practices resulted in the deaths of and injury to women from botched abortions. Gosnell not only operated in southeast Pennsylvania, but he was employed at the Delaware abortion facility known as Atlantic Women’s Medical Services in Wilmington and Dover, Delaware and where he would work one day per week to do abortions. The groundbreaking legislation will be announced at a special news conference today. “Delaware is the perfect place to introduce such cutting-edge legislation because of its connection to ‘House of Horrors’ Dr.

Early Christian Writings: New Testament, Apocrypha, Gnostics, Church Fathers 5 Notes on Dating for the Guys I work in church operations, which means I spend an inordinate amount of time with young, single volunteers, many of whom are recent converts. When I first started, it quickly became clear that most young Christians have no idea what Christian dating looks like practically. Here are some insights to help Christian men date in a way that honors God. 1. “Intentional” is one of those words that sounds right, but no one really knows what it means. The intentional man repeatedly and constantly goes first and takes on all of the risk of rejection. Approaching her initially: Intentional: “I’d like to take you out on a date.”Unintentional: “Wanna hang out sometime? Paying the bill: Intentional: “I’ve got it.”Unintentional: “Can you cover half the bill? Following up after a date: Intentional: “I had a great time tonight, and would definitely want to do this again. Bringing other people in: Intentional: “I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you. Things are going well: What is this relationship? 2. 3.

Blog - Holynetwork | Holynetwork Michael Hyatt | Intentional Leadership Joy Behar Calls Pro-Lifers Evil, Immoral, and Stupid by Matthew Balan | Washington, DC | | 2/22/11 6:31 PM Opinion 11.8K Share Joy Behar ripped the House of Representatives on her program on Monday for their recent defunding of Planned Parenthood. Behar, focusing on the organization’s birth control services, criticized the move as “illogical…because if you are not going to help people with birth control, you’re going to have more abortions. So, besides being evil and immoral and unethical, they’re also stupid” (audio clips available here). The liberal host led her 10 pm program by playing clips from Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s Thursday speech on the floor of the House, where she argued that funding Planned Parenthood was better than having “to give your kids ramen noodles at the end of the month to fill up their little bellies so they won’t cry. Actually, Behar’s claim about federal funding of abortion isn’t true. BEHAR: Okay. BEHAR: Do you think, Congresswoman, that ‘so be it’ really means,’ we don’t care’? If Rep.
