San Francisco: Beautiful Photography by Brandon Doran These incredible images are by Brandon Doran, United States, and used here with his permission. Thank you, Brandon! ~ Laura Barcode Yourself by Scott Blake Barcode Yourself is a complete, interactive experience in the series of barcode art, created using the personalized data of participants. Enter an individual's gender, weight, height, age and location, and the barcode is formed using real-world data. The individualized barcode can then be printed, mapped, scanned, even depicted on a t-shirt or coffee mug. It is in scanning a barcode that the project reveals its humor, like a banner that reads: Disclaimer! It is here, within the confines of an American obsession with "worth," in which the fun begins. The data entered into Barcode Yourself takes a topsy-turvy twist to its personalized end numbers, with the exception of the hard-data that correlates with "location," which tallies up in the Gross Domestic Product of each country. The calculation an individual's BMI based on the height and weight data reveals the health of an individual, thus those considered underweight or overweight are worth less money. More info in FAQ.

How to remove Carrier IQ from Android, Blackberry, and iPhone – Cell Phones & Mobile Device Technology News & Updates It still isn’t 100% clear exactly who is using Carrier IQ — and for what purposes — but one thing we do know is that you don’t benefit from having it on your phone. Rooted Android users and all iOS users can remove the software with relative ease, and now RIM has posted instructions for Blackberry owners to remove it as well. These are our instructions for removing Carrier IQ from any device on the three platforms. Remove Carrier IQ from iPhone Apple says that most iOS 5 devices don’t use Carrier IQ, but iPhone 4 owners will need to disable it. The easiest way is to navigate to Settings > General > About > Diagnostics and Usage. This doesn’t actually remove the software, but it removes its permission to communicate with Carrier IQ servers, rendering it useless. Remove Carrier IQ from rooted Android phones One option for removing Carrier IQ on Android is to flash a custom ROM. Another option is to get this app. Remove Carrier IQ from Blackberry phones 1. 2. 3. via RIM

Silent World by Michael Kenna Silent World by Michael Kenna A Father Who Creatively Captures His Kids (20 photos) If there was a prize that could be given out to the most creative father, I'd hope that it was awarded to Jason Lee. A wedding photographer by day, he's used to capturing some of the most important moments in a couple's lives. As a longtime fan of Jason's photos on Flickr however, I think the real magic happens when he turns the camera onto his daughters. Sure, his children are adorably cute in their own right, but that's not what makes his photos so interesting. I was able to get in touch with Jason to ask him a few questions. Q: How did you get into photography? Q: How do you come up with such creative photos of your daughters? Q: How has being on Flickr helped you with your business? Q: Any inspirational stories you'd like to share? Q: Do you have any advice for aspiring photographers? Q: Any quotes you live by? Thanks for the interview, Jason, and for letting us share in your fatherhood experience. Jason Lee's website
