III – Remplir votre widget Que mettre dedans ? Est-ce tout ? Bah !

History of eLearning Technologies If you are using a learning management system (LMS) at your company, or access your college courses on your iPad, one famous quote rings true: “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once and awhile, you might miss it.” - Ferris Bueller OK, there may be better quotes, but anytime I get to work in that quote, I take the opportunity. I think you get the point. Learning technology has changed quickly, but it is important to remember its roots. While I understand that this infographic is designed to show the changes in eLearning technology, I am surprised that there is not mention of the impact of mobile devices have on learning, in the collage sense as well as in the work-place. iPads and other tablets are change the face of learning. I think we can safely add some items to this historical infographic as we have already seen the impact and know some recent advancements are here to stay. What would you add to this infographic? Big questions, I know. Jeffrey A.

E-Learning End Users Have Spoken Recently, I conducted an emerging technology survey related to e-learning and the results show that end users are utilizing technology more then ever before and are seeking product features that LMS and content authoring tools, do not offer at this current time. With an increase in e-learning sales a, projections of 7.1 billion dollars (USD) by 2015 and an increase in competition in the space, it is time for vendors to act. The days of sitting back and waiting to see what others do, no longer exists. Tablets 60% of respondents said they do not own a tablet, but 40% say they do. More of a surprise is that with the exception of 6 web conferencing vendors, who have apps specifically for the iPad/iPad2 market, you can count on one hand the number of LMS/LCMS vendors that offer the same thing. Integrating an online storage/backup capabilities in a LMS In a previous post, I believed that this is a logical next step for systems who want to move forward and continue growth in the space. Grow Productivity by 50% with a Hosted Social LMS There is a dichotomy in business today. On the one hand, companies today have never had greater access to the tools and resources needed to enhance worker productivity. On the other hand however, employees have never had more diverse and disparate sources of information as they do now. Modern workers may be required to spend up to 50% of their work time in non-productive activities like learning new processes, searching for archived data or reviewing the latest methods for accomplishing a standard job task. This is the inefficient side of rapid business change. But what if they had access to all of these information sources from a single place? In order to demonstrate the value that a social LMS can deliver to companies, we need to breakdown a typical worker’s day in our information-driven workplace. With a properly implemented social learning management system, much of that time can be reclaimed. Let’s look at it this way. Jeffrey A. Interactyx Limitedinteractyx.com

#elearning Planning What is a Learning Management System (LMS)? The Burning E-Learning Question: Does Slide Count Matter? Posted December 2, 2011 at 12:12 pm As I sit down to write this post I’m thinking back on my long lost college days. Specifically I’m thinking about sitting through Dr. This was both good and bad. Here is what I remember about that class. An effective teaching method I am sure! Now let me ask you a question. Our specific situation is further complicated by the fact that most of our students will never meet us face to face. So does slide count matter? I would say yes, it does. Here is the thing. So go for quality, not quantity. Looking for a Better, Easier & More Affordable LMS?
