Yippee!! The last part of the pattern for the owl doorstop... The beak... when I made the beak above I looked like I was performing open heart surgery; the look of concentration was intense! I do not like making double crochet shapes as I often forget to pick up the last stitch and it all starts to look messy. As I was aware I needed to take a close up picture of this beak, I made a real effort to do the best I could. Is crafting meant to give you wrinkles?

Attic24 Every time I look at this yarn rainbow the very sight of it makes me soooooooo happy!!! Isn't happy colour a wonderful, wonderful thing? I think so, I really do, I feel like I can gaze at these colours and absorb all the vibrant, happy brightness into my soul and feel the warmth radiating. Simple pleasures..... I've had this Sunny yarn in my yarn bag for many months now, 18 shades of Summer Sunshine looking radiant right there. Some of the colours individually could be quite tricky to work with (bright in-your-face Citron, I'm looking at you here!)

Hearts and Twigs Awwwwwwww teeny tiny little hooky hearts, so cute you gotta love 'em! I've made dozens of these hearts in the past week or so, I think I've developed a slight addiction to be honest. The thing is that they are so quick and easy to make, it's near impossible to make just a few. You start out with just a few but before you know it you've made a small stack, then a handful, then a whole heap.

Crochet Bag Pattern Way back in July, you may remember me making this bag. It's my own design, made on a whim and I was/am absurdly proud of it. It has received much admiration when I jaunt about with it on my shoulder, and it has proven to be a very practical bag for stashing yarn in. Very Crochety indeed.I've had countless emails and requests for this pattern, and in truth I have been putting it off a little. FREE PATTERN Shaun the Sheep Crochet Pattern This is a free pattern to crochet Shaun the Sheep. This pattern is one of my own designs, copyright of Linda Smith (Purplelinda Crafts). It can be saved to your own computer then printed out for personal use. Please note this pattern can not be sold or photocopied and the finished item can not be sold. How to crochet granny ripple I am sure many of you who can crochet fairly well may not know how to crochet a granny ripple. While I was crocheting my vibrant pillow 3 I thought I would make a tutorial on granny ripple but for some reason I couldn't do it then. Here it is now. Once you get started and go in the right direction granny ripples are fun to make, but getting started is what irks me a lot. The major problem here is deciding upon the number of chains to start with. Since you are not going to work in a straight pattern the length of the chains that you make at the beginning have to be somewhere around one and half times the length of the finished pattern.

{ WIP Wednesday } Here are my Work In Progress projects this week… Well I have plenty to work on as far as crochet and Christmas projects! First off, I am making some Christmas colored Woman’s Hats. I am not sure what I am going to do with them yet! I am thinking I will just put them in the Etsy shop and see what happens. crochet I spent about an hour standing in the craft store Saturday staring at a wall of yarn in the coolest muted tones and edgy colors ... a palette I would have murdered for (with my bare hands) years ago. Seriously. I'm especially impressed with the acrylic selection. Vanna's Choice, Cotton Ease (which also has great labels), and Red Heart Soft are all being made in totally amazing colors. Back in the 90s when I was crocheting ALL THE TIME, there wasn't a lot to choose from if you were making $10 an hour in San Francisco and wanted muted, edgy colors.

Dragon To tell you the truth, I was hesitant about making a dragon. Life got really busy as soon as we came back from our Christmas holidays, and Chinese New Year was fast approaching. I didn’t think we’d have the time, and it seemed challenging to make a cute dragon since I was so used to making my cute bears and bunnies.
