Gingerbreads Head Recipie

Gingerbreads Head Recipie
The season of giving will be upon us in just a few short days. I love December. People start baking and sharing sweets with friends and family … even people that might not normally bake any other time of the year. There is just something about the holidays and baking for others that makes people feel good to give. I like to give fudge, pies, cake balls, cookies… cookies … and more cookies. I don’t really have a favorite kind though. I like my sweets on the smaller side, so I end up with larger numbers. One … more cookies. Two … I could have fun and focus on their faces … oh and three…… less piping and less chances for my icing to look crooked. : ) Ooooh, ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Can you smell it? Add the spices to your flour … it will make your dough delicious. I don’t have pics of the rest of the ingredients, but we don’t want to look at those anyway. We want cookies. I used a small cookie cutter to make the base for the faces. Little bitty blank canvases. Where to start? Ugh. Gingerheads.

Inspired Entertaining: DIY Chalkboard Wine Glasses - StumbleUpon Last month I got an email from one of those "deal of the day" websites featuring a very cute set of wine glasses with chalkboard stems from a company called Chalkboard China. I've seen chalkboard glasses before, and always thought them to be a fun and chic way for guests to keep track of their glass throughout the night so you don't end up with mixed-up glasses or dozens of half-full glasses left around the house. But all the ones I've seen in stores feature a strip of chalkboard paint across the bowl of the glass, which I've always felt looks awkward and takes away from the beauty of the wine or beverage in the glass.

DIY projects Our Favorite Craft Supplies: Glue These are the types of glue that I use most often for Oh Happy Day projects. I’m a super fan of the Quick Dry Tacky Glue. I use it any time I am doing paper projects (It’s seriously the best!) 50 Simple Ways to Pay It Forward — the halfway point Don’t wait for people to be friendly, show them how. ~Author Unknown Recently, I read a little paragraph in a fellow blogger’s post about paying it forward and it made me smile. At a toll booth, he paid for his vehicle’s fee and the one behind him. This is something my husband and I did often years ago when we would cross the Golden Gate bridge several times a month. Not everytime, but often, we would pay our toll fee and that of the car behind us.

Slow cooker recipes - Set a slow cooker to cook before you go to sleep in the evening, and wake up to freshly made old-fashioned oatmeal or other delicious grain-based recipes for breakfast. Pop your ingredients into the slow cooker before leaving for work in the morning, and come home to dinner of fork-tender meat and braised vegetables. Even desserts can be made in a slow cooker, as a handful of recipes in this article demonstrate. Slow-cookers can turn cheap cuts of meat into scrumptious savory stews, and the low temperature makes it impossible for food to burn — the worst you can do is overcook your meal. And the promise of only one pot to clean, as opposed to a stovetop full of multiple pans, mixing bowls and dishes to wash, is certainly appealing as well.
