The Best Makeup for Your Eye Color | Makeup.com Not sure which shadow will pop those baby blues or which liner will best bring out your gorgeous green? Well, that dust-collecting drawer of untouched shades that were pretty in the package but not in person isn’t doing any of us any good! Read on for the cliff notes to choosing the PERFECT shade based on your eye color. The key lesson To accentuate those pretty peepers, pick a palette that is either monochromatic (different shades of the same or very similar colors) or complementary (opposite colors on the color wheel). Play up blue eyes Whether your eyes are crystal blue, aqua blue or grey blue, these are the colors for you: Shadow: Monochromatic – Navy, Grey, SilverComplementary – Brown, Peach, Copper Liner: Blue eyes pop when rimmed in jet black or chocolate brown for contrast. ...love Maegan: * Partial French Braid &Cascading Hair Tutorial *also known as the "Waterfall Braid" Fashion+Home+Lifestyle Blog I’m not the originator of this hair style but I’ve gotten so many requests for it, I thought I’d give it a go for you. I don’t know what it’s called either so I haven’t researched it and/or found any other tutorials for it …thus, this is my version of it, and I’ve dubbed it the Partial French Braid w/ Cascading Hair. The photos I’ve seen online show the braid a little more straight across the back of the head and mine sort of braids at an angle, similar to my side/low french braid up-do. I’m sure this is 100% easier to do on someone else’s hair than your own but it goes pretty quickly once you get the hang of it …I mean, it’s my shortest hair video tutorial to date. That’s gotta mean something, right Enjoy. Note: Apologies in advance for the yelling of “NOOOO” towards the end, where I momentarily fear I’m going to lose my entire braid and have to start over. Have Fun! Find all my Hair Tutorials Here.

Sea of Shoes: HAIR HOW-TO I am sometimes asked how I style my hair, and while my method is far from perfect, I thought I'd show you how! My hair is pretty straight and fine naturally and I always let it air dry. Since I go about three days between washes, I like to curl it on the first day and let it mellow out into some nice waves over the next two. Let's get started! If your hair doesn't hold curl very well then you may want to put a palmful of curling mousse in it when it is halfway dry. (though I want to upgrade to one of the fancy new ones from Sultra soon!) When I'm done curling the bottom section, I mist it with Bumble and bumble Spray de Mode and comb through the curl with my fingers. Ahh!! If you want to dress it up a little, you can do a braided headband look! Find a spot on the opposite side of your head and pin it so that it blends in naturally with the rest of your hairstyle. Well, that's it!

Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example). Steps 1-2: Braid two strands on each side of a center part. Steps 3-5: Wrap braids around the crown of your head and pin in place with one pin each. Step 6: Arrange braids so that they cover the front of your head like a headband. Steps 7-8: Pull the rest of the hair into a ponytail and pin it into a cute messy bun. Step 9: Add final pins and spray.

8 hair care treatments you can make yourself | MNN - Mother Nature Network - StumbleUpon Eggs, yogurt and honey are, at first glance, all components of a tasty breakfast — but they also happen to be hair treatment ingredients, and affordable, all-natural ones at that. And they're not the only ones. Did you know, for instance, that the oils in avocados more closely resemble our own skin's oils than any product in the beauty aisle does? Or that the mild acidity in lemon is an effective — and gentler — alternative to chemical-laden products? Next time your locks need a lift, save money by using one of these kitchen fixes. For all hair types "The [raw] egg is really the best of all worlds," says Janice Cox, author of "Natural Beauty at Home". To use: For normal hair, use the entire egg to condition hair; use egg whites only to treat oily hair; use egg yolks only to moisturize dry, brittle hair, Cox says. For dull hair To Use: Massage 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt into damp hair and let sit for 20 minutes. For itchy scalp For limp or fine hair For dry or sun-damaged hair
